Sci-Fi Alien: Earth (Noah Hawley and Ridley Scott) | FX on HULU

At first, one of Chandler’s reps voiced the actor’s concern about playing a game with “two older men” (in other words, her co-star and showrunner, who are, respectively, 57 and 58). The game, the comic test “How Well Do They Know Each Other?,” seemed innocuous to us — everyone from Ariana Grande to Ryan Reynolds to Daniel Craig has done it in the past. But to demonstrate good faith, we offered to show Chandler sample questions. Then, she sent a list of ones we’d never ask. (We don’t ever offer question approval, and there’s good reason why: “How many ‘Alien’ films are there?” was high on Chandler’s list.) After that, she changed her mind and decided a game on video wasn’t something she felt comfortable doing at all. Now, on the morning of the shoot, after some convincing from her agent, we hear she will come. Then Chandler decides, after all that — never mind, she can’t make it.

Fun lol

I'm not a fan of Scott's pseudo-retconning of the xenomorph so ignoring the black good/David/Engineers is fine by me.

When does this air?

I am completely overjoyed that this two-episode premiere will begin at 8 pm and not later. This is a problem that I've had with a lot of recent FX shows where two new episodes will premiere at 10 pm, and the first episode is usually longer than most, meaning the premiere isn't over until a little past midnight.

Yeah, I could always not watch it live, but that's how I prefer to watch TV programs.

Oh wow, this premiered on Hulu tonight too and not the next day! Starting the first episode now.

First 6 minutes were already amazing, and already making me cringe afraid to see what happens in the next few minutes. Wow.

Enjoying the direction of this so far. Again, as someone who hasn't seen any Alien films, I can only approach this as a show, and Hawley has proven between Legion and Fargo that he can take an existing property and seamlessly weave in his own story. This pilot felt like it could've been made for the big screen, and I imagine that Hawley more than has FX's trust at this point.
