Supergirl All About The Ratings!!!!!!

Wasn't there another episode that got 1.3 live but increased with online & ondemand viewings? How do find out if that happened with Myriad?

You won't see those numbers until next week.

I'm figuring the show gets renewed but maybe at a reduced budget.

Right now I am very skeptical about a possible renewal of supergirl, the show's most successful have all been renovated, I think they just do not say anything and in the end will not be renewed and it is a real shame because the show is great!
A show with the supergirl impact don't wait the upfronts to renew it

Well you have made your mind up on its fate so .......... ok, no use wasting time discussing it with you. :yay:

Yes to this...I have a feeling that is what they are hammering out right now.

^ There's nothing to "hammer out". The decision was made quite a while ago, and they're simply waiting for the Upfronts to make the announcement.

I think Kelly was referring to the budget and not the renewal itself.

Yeah, A LOT of preementions last night, flooding, primaries, speeches, etc....

It went up in viewers, but dropped some in demo.

But, at this point the decision has been made as far as renewal or not, and looks like the announcement will be in May, probably at Upfronts, so now just sit back and see what happens. :)

Yeah, that would probably effect ratings a bit.

The Flash episode ended up at 2.5 in 7 day totals.

The flooding in TX affected all CBS affiliates there including KHOU Houston and KTVT Dallas. Primary night in New York saw a speech by Trump in Buffalo pre-empt the show on WIVB-TV 4 instead of sending it to co-owned WNLO-TV 23.

The 1.2 is the LOWEST RATING this season. I think it's panic time...move it out of Mondays at 8:00 against "reality" shows that mean ZERO or ship it to the CW. Yes I am getting panicky. The On Demand and DVR stuff is needed!

All shows were down Monday.....it was up in viewers and for this show they are looking at that all important younger demo and we don't necessarily see those numbers.

Plus this is that time of year when all tv viewership goes down, when the weather gets warmer, and people stay outside longer. I myself haven't seen the Finale yet, because I was out umpiring Little League Baseball. I may not get to watch it tonight either, so Wednesday may be chock full of Supergirl, Gotham, the Flash, and Arrow for me,

All very true. Blindspot only had a 1.3 and less viewers than Supergirl.

Panic over ratings is rather silly at this point, IMO, because of the following factors:
1) The decision to renew the show has already been made and conveyed to individuals involved in the production of the series (Greg, Andrew, and Ali have all made this clear, although Ali is "hedging her bets" a bit by being less 'definitive' in the way she talks about Season 2 than Greg and Andrew)

2) LIVE ratings mean far less than they ever have at any point in the history of television

3) The series has seen a steady increase in its viewership numbers from the LIVE ratings when LIVE +3 and LIVE+7 numbers are calculated and factored in (which is no small thing)

4) Both Chyler Leigh and Melissa Benoist have joined Andrew, Greg, and Ali in commenting on the possibility of Season 2, and, like Andrew and Greg, they have done so in pretty definitive and concrete terms

5) It has already been announced that Lynda Carter will be joining the series in its second season as the President of the United States, who was referred to several times throughout the course of Season 1, including in the finale (you don't make that kind of announcement if you don't know whether or not you're getting a second season)

6) They're already making definitive plans for Season 2 rather than just discussing the season in abstract (which you don't do if you're not already aware that you are in fact getting a second season)

7) Greg and Andrew have already all-but-confirmed future crossovers between the series and The Flash and possibly Arrow (which, again, is not something you do if there's uncertainty about whether or not you're actually going to be around in order to do said crossovers)

8) Les Moonves has already publicly all-but-guaranteed renewals for Supergirl and the networks' other Freshman series

At this point, it really is an inevitability that Season 2 is coming; all we as audience members need to do is sit back, relax, and wait for CBS to make the announcement that it's coming.

I gave up on Blindspot after episode 3.
I do wish Jamie Alexander the best of luck though, I like her, I just didn't like where the show was going.

Not all the shows were down.

Gotham was flat and Lucifer actually grew two tenths.

But there's no reason to panic. Supergirl is getting renewed.

I meant more with shows on CBS, NBC, and ABC....shows like Blindspot, etc...I'm not paniced at all....just the fact of all of the craziness of yesterday with weather around the country, etc.....I wasn't surprised that it wasn't at the 1.5 or so.

Actually the rating for last night's season finale has adjusted to 1.3, according to the Variety article.

Yet it is not the renewal announce and the season was over...It's panic time!!!!!
