Its interesting when you consider that for 6 years GoT started post DST, and built a live audience year upon year. On Premium cable no less.
I don't know what GoT is...

Flash again doubling up Supergirl, along with every other show on the network
That's a bit like saying 24:Legacy's average is better than Gotham and Lucifer because it had a 6.1 pilot. True but ultimately meaningless

I misunderstood. No, I meant for this week. For this week so far Supergirl is the 2nd highest rated show, and I doubt Riverdale, Supernatural, The Originals, or Reign are going to go higher.
As you know I've always hated that scheduling. Everyone always whines at Fox, often for very good reasons, but Supergirl picked that fight. Seriously, who was the guy who thought it was a good idea to air it against a Batman origin story...In the unrounded prelims Arrow actually beat Supergirl this week. Arrow was very close to a 0.6 and Supergirl was very close to a 0.4.
It will be a few days before we get the unrounded finals but it's likely that Supergirl's reduced audience is at least partially due to the return of Gotham and Lucifer on Fox, as both shows air against Supergirl depending on what time zone you live in. They didn't seem to hurt each other in the fall but with the shows in decline anyway it makes sense that a small amount of viewers switching back and forth would make a bigger impact.
Well, like I said, in an ideal world. Why would Fox ever considering moving them?

In my ideal world Gotham moves to CW for the next season and we never have to speculate about that again. Fox has been treating both Gotham and Lucifer like trash.
No, there isn't one, but that doesn't mean the CW made the right move. You tell me at the CW besides Flash that could go up against Monday Night Football, Dancing With The Stars, and The Voice....ALONG WITH Gotham or Lucifer depending on where you are at....and be your #2 show on your network week after week? There isn't one.....so the CW made the right move.

For a night like Monday - where the competition is tough as nails - I would put the show on the network that would stand to lose the least to the competition. I don't think that's Supergirl, seeing how they directly air DC vs DC property. iZombie has proven itself to be remarkably resilient though low-rated - it practically doesn't matter if it has a lead or not. (Yes, I know it's technically DC.) Supernatural is also a show I think wouldn't take that big a hit. It's got a very devoted fan base.
This, I believe, is why Fox has kept Gotham in that slot for three years. It isn't likely to lose a lot to reality shows - for most fans of Gotham, that isn't much of a choice.
Considering how the CW gains it revenue, as long as they are happy, we are going to get more episodes. So really, what would even be the point of the change outside of some misguided vanity?I do not believe that the audience would go up enough on Monday nights to justify that move. IMO, you would lose just enough Flash audience to L 3 and L 7 viewing to lose money. Would it make more money than Supergirl on Monday nights? sure..... but not enough to justify what it lost in the move, and the fact that Supergirl honestly would probably not gain enough in ratings to justify the move either.
The ratings have finally ticked up.
0.6/1.86 million
I still say it. Does that make me a big kid?I can dig that, as the kids used to say back in the day. Then of course comes the L3 and L7's later on.
During this time of the year, it is so random. What's on that night, how warm is it, etc. The show is so consistent in total viewers when you look at the other ways to watch. Just depends on what that audience is doing on Monday's.If the rating and viewership ticked up, it's not because of James being Guardian but rather the cliffhanger at the end of the episode with the Daxamite invasion is.
