I want one more hard sci-fi movie that starts with 'In' so he can complete the trilogy.

Yeah, I loooooove Insomnia, but it doesn't fit the hard sci-fi aspect of the second two.

Ahhh I missed the sci fi part of your post. In that case good sir carry on. :hehe:

I want a horror or western from Nolan.

Though, I vaguely remember Nolan saying something like he thought about trying horror, then thinking to himself that Inception is his version of a horror movie. Something like that, could be wrong.

Well, The Prestige kinda works with the other two, it might not start with "In", but it's also a science fiction film and fits in nicely with the themes of the other films. It shares the illusion and trickster bits of Inception, and like Interstellar, it tries to bring forth the "wonder" cinema can give.

Also: The prestige is science fiction set in the past, Inception is science fiction set in the present and Interstellar is science fiction set in the future.

This makes Nolan's filmography work like 3 sets of trilogies:

Following, Memento and Insomnia are the personal crime drama trilogy
The Prestige, Inception and Interstellar are the science fiction trilogy
The Dark Knight Trilogy

So basically his next movie is going to either screw up a current trilogy by adding a fourth movie or start a new trilogy of its own. :yay:

If he could somehow avoid X-Files comparisons, I think Nolan would be awesome with a period piece about the 1947 Roswell incident, including UFOs, abductions, Area 51, aliens, the autopsy, etc. I could see the main character claiming to be an abductee and he wants answers. You never really see any of these things, it's just hearsay, so you have an unreliable narrator, a distortion of reality regarding different versions of stories, etc.

Well, Inception started as a horror film, but he later developed it into an action drama film.

Prett much, yeah.

That sounds realy good.

A fool's dream, but I really hope he does something on a indie scale and something more personal. Kinda like how Jon Favreau made Chef.

Marvel should bring him in and give him a character and allow him to do what he wants with it, outside of the MCU. Ghostrider comes to mind....

I wonder if we'll ever see his Howard Hughes project come to life.

I'm certainly not opposed to that.

I hope so. I think just enough time has past since The Aviator, especially if this movie ends up coming out in 2017. And even on the Interstellar press tour, both Chris and Jonah referred to his Hughes project as the best script he's ever written. Have to think that'll see the light of day if they still feel so strongly about it...

Nolan should direct The Devil in the White City.

Everyone keeps saying this! I'm going to have to check that book out. Apparently, DiCaprico owns the movie rights...

I can definitely see Nolan coming back to DC and doing something other than Batman. He did have a hand in this new DCU, developing the story for MoS. And maybe if JGL is overwhelmed with Sandman and simply stars and writes it, Nolan can direct.

I just get the feeling that Nolan's relationship with comic book adaptations is not over. I can also see a similar arrangement where WB basically says, "You do these for us, and you can do whatever you want after" like with Inception and Interstellar.

Or maybe I'm dead wrong.
Isn't there a rumor that he's straying away from WB and pursuing a relationship with Paramount?

I'd say he's had enough of capes. I don't see him taking up another superhero property any time soon.

Yeah, I seriously doubt he'll do another superhero movie anytime soon. It felt like he said everything he wanted to say with TDK trilogy, a series that took nearly 10 years of his life to do.

Now Jonah Nolan on the other hand...

Also, what would WB offer him more? He has had 4 consecutive major successes, he can pretty much do whatever he wants right now. I agree that he should resurrect his John Hughes film.

Cooper's Day Off?
