I think that more or less falls in line with Morrison's view from the 90's, only of course replace Cyborg with J'onn whose mythological counter part is likely Proteus.

I figure it's a possibility given:
-Darksied
-Going Cosmic in the DCU
-WB possibly doing a New Gods thing given their new found interest in their own library(see half their pending film slate)

I would definitely go with Karl Urban followed by Manu Bennet and Jai Courtney

This seems to be the dream that won't die among DCAU fans no matter how much evidence there is to counter that it's highly unlikely that is what Snyder would do. Ironsides hasn't done much blockbuster or even highly visible or praised cinema for a long time. I don't think that he's even on the short list for actors if Darkseid is indeed on the table for a JL film.

To be fair there are very few actors who have the gravitas to pull that role off. Ironside would be one of those few.

With what looks to be a homerun from Spader/Ultron, DCs villains, especially those who are going to be mo-capped and feature voiceover need to step it up when the time comes.

Butler does have various arguments in his favor, not just his disposition for yelling but the Snyder connection. Perlman in another and post hellboy cbm minus GTD seems unlikely imo.

I too find the ironside thing unlikely however I've heard the bolded said about different sorts of now cbm stars over the years.
I think if they go darkseid, Snyder will pull out one of his wonder castings to be sure. I'm certain it wouldn't be all together practical.

hopefully we get to at least see some of these villains down the line.

The 2 villains we really need is Freeze and Riddler. Have Penguin as a mob boss in Gotham and maybe even Croc work for Penguin. Have Two-Face or Black Mask as the rival gang.

But still Freeze and Riddler are the 2 villains with the most potential for a great film without using Joker again.

One is insane if they actually believe that Joker won't appear in this new DC Cinematic Universe. Maybe not anytime soon but it will inevitably happen. Heath Ledger fans need to accept that reality.

There'll be an Easter egg in the solo Bat film. Actually seeing as this is a seasoned Batman with a guy who likes putting easter eggs in films it wouldnt surprise me if we get a nod in BvS.

I have no problem with Joker being used eventually but for the love of Batgod, there are other villains. Hell one of the reasons Snyder didn't use Joker in his first New 52 story is because DC wanted to hold the Joker off.

Freeze perhaps has the best story potential. Imagine a live action Heart of Ice. When you think about it, there hasn't been another villain DC or Marvel to have a backstory like Freeze.

I swear, if Ben Affleck did a film with Freeze as perfect of a story has Heart of Ice or Cold, Cold, Heart, I would put it as my favorite CBM of all time.

Cold, Cold Heart was basically a video game retelling of Heart of Ice.
