It is past the point of no return though, I'm sure. No chance WB would open themselves up to that hellstorm.

Just imagine the Internet's reaction to:

HOLLYWOOD REPORTER: Joel Schumacher to Direct Ben Affleck's Solo Batman Film

:mrk:

That would be probably be only scenario where it could work though, assuming Ben knocks it out of the park. If Ben gets his redemption with BvS and personally vouches for Joel, the fans wouldn't react as harshly I'd think.

If I said what I wanted to say to you right now, I'd be banned 10 times over.

But I'll save myself (and the mods) the trouble.

Except I can happily watch B&R from time to time, whereas I will never see TAS2 ever again in my lifetime.

I've seen plenty of comicbook movies that I didn't care for but TASM 2 felt like the first one to make poor decisions in a 1990's comicbook movie way. Love or hate Man of Steel but it's not stuck in the 1990's.

To each their own when it comes to any movie though.

Joel could make a kickass Batman movie today with all that he's learned...with a good script, he could do an amazing Batman movie. The look of Gotham in his movies was always amazing, and I loved all the costumes.

I love Schumacher's Batman films in general, they're awesome

Haha, I think it was in the Everything Wrong With Batman & Robin video where the guy says: "You know why there's so much crime in Gotham ? Because the city is being bankrupted by the placing of all these ginormous and useless statues everywhere"

I thought that was hilarious. There really are a bunch of big ass random statues in Schumachers Gotham.

So I wake up and find that the Greatest Criminal Mind Of Our Time might be in Ayer's SUICIDE SQUAD? Hot damn... Things keep getting more and more interesting.

Guys... Remember when we had NOTHING to talk about and all we did was argue about MOS and the the Nolan Bat films? Remember those days?

Nolan's Gotham was boring visually. Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher actually tried to make Gotham look unique and cool, i hope Snyder makes an effort to make Gotham look unique. I don't have high hopes though, Snyder's Metropolis ideally would've been more inspired by the George Reeves Metropolis and the STAS Metropolis

The only bad thing about Burton's Gotham is how small it feels.

Those were dark days INC, very dark days.

IMO, nothing beats Burton's Gotham.

Burton's Gotham forever.

You know I always cringe when I see those words, I've always loathed Hackman's Luthor....the worst criminal mind of our time. :p Only I dislike about the first two Donner films.

If there is no news the next 3 days, those days will come back.

Yes, it look like EisenLex will be in Suicide Squad. Exciting times...unlike what you have mentioned. :o

You mean two weeks ago? [BLACKOUT]and most likely two weeks from now?[/BLACKOUT]

Put me in the camp that doesn't want some overly styled fantasy land for either Metropolis or Gotham. I can't say that having already fantastical characters running around a set or city that looks like NO ONE actually lives in it or that is production designed to within an inch of it's life has any appeal to me. All the various post Burton Bat film super hero projects that aped the style of those sets and prod. design were eye rolling to me. Give me Neal Adams' Gotham or Steve Ditko's 'Manhattan over something like Furst's Gotham any day of the week. Nolan's Gotham was dull because frankly, other than the scene on the barges, it seemed that the only Gothamites with any voice that registered in the films are the usual suspects of cops and heroic protagonists main characters. Say what you will about the "camp" humor of Donner's Superman but in that film it was like Metropolis was an actual East Coast City of the day (natch, it was NYC ) but that added to the story and made the fantastical all that more FANTASTICAL as it was able to stand out in a recognizable mundane world.

As if I needed any more reasons to be excited for suicide squad

That would be quite awesome seeing him in a few scenes. All this DC continuity in its movies is making me very happy.

Gives you the feeling that any character can show up unannounced. I think we're in for some major surprises.

A thought....what if we all got it wrong?
We're all thinking the villain of JL will be Brainiac or Darkseid.
What if Lex...after the events of BvS...decides he needs a team to take on Batman, Superman and WW?
What if the foe of Justice League 1 and 2 is not one villain but a villain team
