The first teaser for MoS was pretty basic and only featured a far away shot of Superman zooming into the sky. No reason to think that the first BvS teaser will be anything more than something to set the tone of the movie.

Anyone else remember the "Is this a Superman movie or 'The Deadliest Catch'" comments following that teaser?

Yes I remember those comments and I remember not loving the first Man of Steel teaser. I remember thinking it was a little pretentious actually.

This is an event movie. One of the few we've had in the Netflix/On-Demand/Download age of entertainment. It lends itself perfectly to trailers so I think they'll knock them all out of the park.

I cannot stress enough how much I do not want to see a teaser this year, I think that would be a terrible mistake marketing wise. It's not coming out in 2015 so it's pointless to release it this year. Over marketing this film and making people sick of it months before it comes out is just a bad idea.

I'm not saying the trailer should be all Terrence Malicky like Man of Steel's but I'd like something more interesting than a stare down from our two protagonists. WB should do something interesting and unexpected.

It's even more absurd to think of a teaser now when 2015 is really down the corner. Hold it in WB. Just release pics or whatever haha.

The first trailer should do that. The teaser is just that a teaser of what's to come,.

I guess I find unsubstantial teasers like voice-only efforts or logos with music and flashes of something without showing the goods to be a bit worthless. Not going to get excited for that. Pretty similar to just reading about a new film when it's revealed in an article for the 1st time. Of course it would be different if I didn't know at all that the film was coming out, but once I do a teaser needs to be better and more substantial than in this case all the stills and CC footage we've seen put together or just don't bother.

i hope we get word on the finalists for GL before he's announced. The Ezra Miller casting is fine with me, but i wish we could've known who else was considered for the role.

Yep, 2015 is nearly here, there is no reason to start marketing the film this year.
