I'd say go with Superman TAS, it's much quicker and easier to get into his mythos than the comics. (and better if I do say so myself)

I consider Superman the Animated Series my Superman. It's my favourite iteration of the character ever.

I will agree with that.Superman the animated series,Batman the animated series, and Justice League/Justice league unlimited are gold In my oporion.

Man I really want a new Justice League or Superman animated series based on the MOS/BvS universe.

Suicide Squad news:

The big-budget actioner, with a working title Bravo 14, has booked into Pinewood Toronto Studios for pre-production starting in February. The Fury director will then have the cameras rolling on the Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment feature from mid-April to September in and around Toronto.

Jai Courtney, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto are in the final stages of talks for roles.

If Courtney is Deadshot....Ugh. The one major knock in a otherwise (potentially) excellent looking cast.

Will Smith probably still trying to get Jaden into the movie before he signs on the dotted line.

Jai Courtney will be Captain Boomerang.

Someone can pick my avatar for the following month if Courtney is announced as being anybody but Captain Boomerang.

Totally speculating here but I wonder if Will Smith was up for Deadshot originally and when those talks went nowhere, they went in a different direction and now enter Jai Courtney for the Role. It seems when it was first reported that Will Smith was far from a sure thing that the Jai Courtney rumors even began. This is like the first Suicide Squad news that didn't even mention Will Smith name being attached to this project. Maybe this is a sign that Warner Bros. is moving on from Will Smith being apart of this film. Like I said though, just me speculating.

Studios don't just completely abandon their direction for a movie or a character just because 1 guy they want decides not to take a role. If they wanted Will Smith for Deadshot and he says no they aren't just going to go "ok lets change what we got and do the exact opposite now"

Suicide Squad doesn't need Will Smith in order to succeed. A director like Ayer can attract other big names for the project.

Will Smith as Deadshot, Deathstroke or Boomerang doesn't sound that good to me. Black Manta is the best role for him. But still, he doesn't scream Black Manta. I can see Ejiofor doing just as good in the role.

The cast is shaping up quite nicely though, i'm loving what I'm hearing.

At this point, Will Smith needs Suicide Squad more than it needs him.

I am a little confused. How does casting Jai Courtney because Will Smith said no mean that they would be changing the direction of the character or mean doing the exact opposite than their original intention?
When I said different direction all I meant was different actor not a change in direction of the character in anyway.

Jai Courtney and Will Smith being up for the same role doesn't sound at all weird to you? Sure they are actors, but cmon that just doesn't sound right at all.

A profile and interview of David Goyer by Deadline. No mention of BvS or any of the other DC movies in his profile, they talk about Sandman though: http://deadline.com/2014/12/david-s...kevin-turen-president-indie-films-1201304542/

On the feature side, that includes the Lionsgate novel adaptation Breach which Justin Rhodes has adapted for Goyer to direct, and which will go out to actors next spring

Sandman, which Joseph Gordon-Levitt will direct and star in. He’ll produce with Goyer and involved as exec producer is Neil Gaiman, who created the classic comic that Jack Thorne is adapting. The story is a mix of horror and fantasy, and the central character is Morpheus, the personification of dreams who, after being held captive 70 years, escapes, gains revenge and rebuilds his crumbling kingdom. “I hesitate to definitively say when it might go before the cameras, but the one thing different between other iterations and ours is that Neil Gaiman has been in the room with us and is a vital part of the team,” Goyer said. “We have a draft Warners is very happy with and we’re moving forward, knock on wood.”

There is also the adaptation of the Vertigo Comics title Federal Bureau Of Physics that Justin Marks is scripting; a Fox adaptation of the Dash Shaw graphic novel Doctors; and Goyer is partnered with Lava Bear on The Forest, which Jason Zada is directing and Natalie Dormer starring in for Focus. Goyer said he has also become one of the many writers to take a swing at the Fantastic Voyage remake for James Cameron.
