In an interview with Esquire

Christian Bale said:
No. I’ve never heard of that. Equally untrue about them coming to me for Batman, before Ben Affleck. People were talking about this obscene amount of money they were saying was thrown at me. No. I didn't have a single conversation with anybody about ever playing the role again.

Like most people I don't read comics so don't care what any of those guys think.

I think everybody is entitled to their opinions and dislikes of whichever interpretation of a character but that doesn't mean I have to give a **** about their opinion. And it may seem like it but I'm not mad, I'm shrugging my shoulders.

Nobody should sneer at comic book readers and fans, because their existence as a sizable and very vocal part of the target audience is one of the reasons that we now have comicbook movies like The Dark Knight rather than comic book movies like Catwoman. Studios know they can't just take a name and a license and tear it to shreds.

All the same, the view that all ideas are sacrosanct merely because they have appeared in print is clearly flawed. The "New 52" can be thanked for finally proving that, if for nothing else.

Mark waid wrote the best Superman origin comic.I may not agree with his views on Superman killing but I respect him

tell that to Fox and Fantastic 4 property lol.

I've noticed that a lot of people who dislike Man of Steel say bizarre stuff and outright make things up. It's not enough to dislike or hate the film you have to act idiotic about your dislike or hate. To be fair people do the same thing with other films so MOS is not alone in that regard.

Anyway I'm moving on from this talk because this thread isn't about MOS.

I'm pleased to say I know nothing about F4 and wouldn't know a movie was in development if I did not occasionally come across comments like this! :funny:

The FFINO boards are probably the most enjoyable and yet, most depressing board on here. :o:oldrazz:

20th Century Fox seems to have forgotten too.

Everything about that "movie" is a travesty.
