As both the real and fake Samuel L. Jackson would say... "Corectamundo".

There's no such a thing as a fake Samuel L. Jackson. Every Samuel L. Jackson is equally real. It basically functions like those parallel universes Hawking is all about. :o

It's the Fifth Dimension... Alright, alright, alright.

The only disaster movie I've seen with decent enough effects is Twister.

Ah, indeed. Thanks!

I'd be more thrilled by the fact that the company that did "LOTR" and "Avatar" is doing this if I haven't seen "The Hobbit" in the meantime. It's like an entirely different company did those movies. I really wonder why is CGI so noticeably different and of lower quality there...?

That is because Peter Jackson continually changed his instructions to them, right up to the day of distribution. Neither were these superficial changes: Smaug the Dragon lost two forelimbs, and entire characters played by real actors in costume and makeup were swapped out for CGI.

I don't think Weta have become any less skillful; the sad truth seems to be that Peter Jackson has become a CGI hungry hack like George Lucas.

I love disaster movies, they're silly fun. Characters die in cool ways.

We already had about 4 movies without Gordon. :oldrazz:

I can go with another one. I would love if they get Cranston for it though. Also, Faraci has been wrong regarding this film before. Oh lawd. Now that this wrapped, we can expect more bs detailed descriptions and info.

I dunno if anyone mentioned it but SyFy green lit the new Krypton series about Jor-El's father. Can't say I'm excited about it though. I'm guessing it will be canceled soon enough

I see. Thanks a lot for this information!

Is rather sad indeed.

Maybe he was always keen on CGI, but was simply prevented from going crazy with it in "LOTR" due to the fact that first movie was made thirteen years ago and the technology was restricted back then. I find it is a very lucky fact that "LOTR" was made when it was, it has aged well because of that and still looks great today. It feels real, unlike the horrific "Hobbit" that is more akin to a badly executed animated movie and will look even worse in the years to come.

Bid now for this one of a kind Batman vs. Superman Memorabilia package from DC Comics. This package includes:

Chris Terrio's official Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film crew jacket (in its packaging and never worn); size L with official Batman v Superman logo.

Three first editions of the new series of the Batman comic, Superman comic, and Justice League comic, all signed by author Geoff Johns, DC Comics chief.

You're right, it needs more teh realizm!
When you can clearly tell it's CG, yes. Actually, it just needs better writers. San Andreas literally looks like every disaster movie made in the last 20 years. Good ol' dumbed-down Hollywood.
