I feel the Burton movies have only gotten better with age. Batman Returns has waaay more re-watchability for me than TDKR.

But, hey, it would be a boring world if we all agreed. Another nerd friend of mine hates Batman: The Animated Series... finds it boring, sluggish and far too un-even overall. What can you do?

Most definitely.

Even during bouts of Batmania I've found Returns a chore to sit through. Recommend it with Kevin Smith's commentary, though, if you don't hate the guy.

Batman 66: 3.5
Batman 89: 8.5
Batman Returns: 8
Batman Forever: 7
Batman & Robin: 2.5
Batman Begins: 9
The Dark Knight: 10
The Dark Knight Rises: 9

Kevin Smith's commentary>the actual movie.

Yup, he's talking his sweet time with the B&R one.

Burton's first Batman film hasn't aged well at all. I watched it again about a month after nearly a decade and was honestly bored throughout most of it.

Oh yeah, just what we need... a nauseating *******, out of his mind on weed/pot judging other directors who have more talent and success than he could ever hope of achieving.

Tim Burton should sit down and do a few commentaries on Smith's films. The **** might learn some things. Oh wait, Burton wouldn't want too... because, you know, he's actually busy with his career.

Neither have aged well. I can still enjoy Batman 89 quite a bit, but BR is a chore to get through.

I hear you. Still, good fun.

That might actually get me to sit through it again.

I think Batman 89 is pretty amazing and it holds up quite well for me even today. Due to nostalgia, B89 is locked in a battle with TDK for my favorite Batman movie. But regardless, I still recognize as the second best Batman movie that exists so far.

Tim Burton doing a commentary on that god awful Tusk movie would be incredible.

No love for BBegins?

My ranking:

TDK
Begins
B89

Not a fan of Batman Returns. Prefer Batman 89 instead. Although, I haven't watched either in a while.

I plan to revisit BR sometime as well. We'll see how I feel about it now as opposed to a decade ago.

Just you watch it, Samuel. :argh:

Burton would still respect the attempt and Smith's vision... even if it is a horrible, horrible movie.

Don't get me started. It should be Michelle next year accepting all those awards...instead of Moore. We should be hugging and celebrating, but it shall not be. My heart breaks. :o

Something tells me you don't like Kevin Smith. I can't put my finger on it. :hmm
