Meh. I just call it like I see it.

I'd figure the guy who has a nervous breakdown everytime someone bashes TDKR would know better, but this is the hype after all.
Usually my blood pressure is pretty level when im having "heated" discussions about TDKR. Unless milost is present.

Like i said, what movie was he watching, because that's not a good comparison.

Um it's a perfect comparison.

Selina is a thief who wants out. Vivian is a hooker that wants out. They meet up with rich guys who help them see the good in themselves and they both end up being saved by their prince charmings

So it's been reported recently that the reason Abrams released the SW teaser when he did was because of the fans wanting it so badly. So can't we all like mass tweet Snyder and the BvS official twitter bugging the hell out of them? There's nothing more we want right now. It's not too early! I mean, we're at the point where Snyder could upload a shred of fabric from Batmans suit and we'd all suddenly have our MBA's in Forensic Science and Investigative Law. I need something. I can't take this much longer.

I call BS on Abrams releasing it because fans wanted it badly. Most movies release teasers one year in advance, Interstellar did, Hobbit 1 did, even MoS did it. The reason they released it online, is because they didn't want bootlegs to come online from the 30 theaters playing it.

That's what I think as well.

I think we would have heard something by now if there was a teaser with Hobbit. They'll probably wait.

Yeah, but at the same time, we all want to be-leaf.

Do you be-leaf in bat's after Bale?
I believe something inside me say
I really do think he´s buff enough ohhhh!!!!!

I pretty much love all the Batman movies for what they are too, but TDKR easily feels way, way more like a Batman movie than Batman Returns IMO. I tried watching Returns last night and it was kind of a rough watch for me tbh. TDKR at least feels like an organic part of its own movie universe, fusing elements from the first two films, utilizing a wealth of characters, concepts and scenarios from the source material (while of course taking its own liberties). Returns doesn't even feel like it's part of the same world as 89.

And I get it, Burton did his thing with it and that's cool. I used to love it for that and get all artsy about its use of German Expressionism, the visuals and the score but these days that stuff is only going so far for me. Maybe it's just because I've seen it so many times, but I feel myself cooling off on the film. Lately I find that I much prefer 89. And it's so weird because I used to be the complete opposite.

And before anyone attacks me for that...just know that I really do have a soft spot for pretty much all the Batman movies, they were a huge part of my childhood. Most of the time, if a friend bashes Returns I'll stand up for it. I just highly disagree with the notion that it feels more "Batman" just because it's gothic fantasy and has a few more Batman-y money shots.

I'm really beginning to think, with all the lockdown on this set, that we won't see anything until Avengers. They're really controlling this film's leaks.

To be honest, I enjoyed most if not all Batman films. Some I didn't enjoy for the right reasons, but if Batman is in it, I liked it. Especially when I was younger, Batman returns was my first Batman film and I loved it.

i rate em' out of 5.

89 = 3.5/5
Returns = 2/5
Forever = 2/5
B & R = 1.5/5
Begins = 4/5
Knight =4.5/5
Rises = 4.5/5

That teen titans/lost boys cover is probably my favorite of the bunch.

I like the Bill and Ted Action Comics cover.

Eh, I hate the Burton films.

There are great moments in them, but not enough for me.

I feel the Burton movies have only gotten better with age. Batman Returns has waaay more re-watchability for me than TDKR.

But, hey, it would be a boring world if we all agreed. Another nerd friend of mine hates Batman: The Animated Series... finds it boring, sluggish and far too un-even overall. What can you do?
