If it is re-shoots, is it normal for re-shoots to happen right after the production wraps? Isn't it like a few weeks/months after?

I think it may just be Snyder seeing an opportunity for an extra scene to explain something in the past - maybe a scene to further explain Bruce and Alfred's relationship or something similar. They also do have the advantage of seeing dailies from the shoot so far, so they may have noticed something that needs to be reshot or plugged in and are taking the opportunity to do that with a skeleton crew (as the description does not make it seem like too many actors, and any of the main cast, will be involved).

I don't give this rumor much credit. They already cast the young Bruce. His appearance from the time his parents were killed and the time he was 10-12 would be the same. Unless this guy was just being used as a stunt double.

Yeah I'm not giving too much credence to the story either. Young Bruce has already been cast.
They also wouldn't have an open call for a stunt double. The stunt coordinator would have handled it way before now.

Yeah, I thought the same thing: they've already got a kid cast close too the 10-12 age. No need for more.

And are there child stunt doubles? That seems weird and against labor laws.

Maybe they're looking for child age Aquaman or Flash and just saying Bruce to keep it secret?

Midthunder Casting is conducting a talent search for a Warner Brothers feature film which will heavily feature 10 -AND- 12 year old, Caucasian boys (SAG principal roles – to portray a young BEN AFFLECK) who have extensive WUSHU, KUNG FU, or PENTAK SILAT training and experience.

They will consider high level (state – world champion) competitors in all martial arts forms.

They want a legit martial arts scene with young Bruce. This isnt' a "rumor". It's a casting call.

Yes. Interesting...it could just be the fight and stunt double for the actor who was cast as Young Bruce during the Wayne murder basically.

Don't know if this has been posted, but on the official cruelfilms website (not sure if I can post a link), Zack Snyder's company, there are miniature images for his films in black & white. The one for BvS is the official batman picture released some time ago. If you hover the cursor over it, it changes to color...although it's a small one, it's the closest we have to a color version of that image

Are we sure it's a legit casting call?

There's a lot about this that does not make sense.

The casting may be false. Stunt actors aren't open cast. Stunt and fight coordinators tend to work with people they are comfortable with. We've seen fake casting notices pop up. Then the casting is open...which sets my spider-sense off. Young Bruce, His Dad, Mom and the killer (Joe Kill) all were cast without open calls...so why open call someone with a very specific skill set???

But then again this movie could still be shooting. We haven't gotten official confirmation the movie is done.
We got a press release for when cameras started...stands to reason we'd get one for when they were done.

Stunt coordinators on films this big have men, women and children that they work with. If a movie calls for a six year old girl that knows karate...they stunt coordinator/fight coordinator has someone they know...even if its last minute notice.

I loved that scene.

That scene was great. Nice touch by Zack on that one. That one got me also.

Kal telling his mom. ..he wished his Dad could have seen him and she says he did. Than showing Pa Kent looking at his young son,playing around with the dog and than posing with the blanket of sheet flowing in that classic Superman pose. Damn...the way it was executed was on point!

One of the jobs of a fight/stunt coordinator is to anticipate what a director needs. They keep a stable of stunt and fight performers for all needs.

They other thing is you don't want to have any stunt as a last minute rush job. Just because someone knows martial arts doesn't mean they know how to movie fight.
I am working with a production here in LA on a DBZ fan film and most of the fight scenes we shot took weeks of rehearsal before it looked film ready. The fight team we use have a bunch of fight performers of various ages, races and sex that they practice with on a daily basis.
