Can't speak for Courtney because I have never seen him act but I think Hammer is a good actor and I too don't get the dislike.

Sorry... Hammer comes across like flavorless gruel on screen most times to me, similar to Sam W. Competent, but not particularly spectacular in any way. He lacks an "it" factor for me.
