But could Common really carry a solo film? Not in my opinion.

If he knocks JL out of the park then perhaps. Thats also assuming that the GL film will be a solo adventure as opposed to Green Lantern Corps film.

People complained about Gadot's physique yet they wanted Jamie Alexander? I don't see how she could be better in that department

She would not be the right choice either.

I'm totally fine with Gal Godot's body size. My concern is her acting. Not confident right now so I'm hoping she proves there was nothing to worry about.

After all, wonder woman is quite skinny in some of her recent animated film ventures. And I didn't have a problem with it. I have a problem with women looking like a body builder. It is not pretty IMO. Nor do I want a wonder Women with a massive rack, it is distracting.

Come on, Cap! You know girls with tatts look bigger:o

Those eyes though...*sigh*

You can't think of a way to become a better poster?

Oh come on ISS, personal attacks can only go so far. I thought you were slightly better than that.

Even you have to agree Gal Gadot is not the best actress.

The funny thing is I'm not even a Gadot stan, she doesn't have enough English language work under her belt for me to be #team Gadot. I'm in no way a fan, I am in wait and see mode and that's the mode everyone should be in. If she sucks in the role I will say so, if she doesn't I will say so.

I am in no way claiming that is the best anything because that would be stupid.

This body talk is hypocrisy central though, it always is when it comes to actresses. The second an actress is above super slim fanboys yell about it.

Gadot's body is the very least of my worries about her.

She's toned, but not muscular. It's not ideal, but it's ok.

Her acting is what I fret about.

Gal Gadot has proven to be the type of actress that likes to do her own stunts and be a physical actress on sets. I'm not worried about her acting for Wonder Woman since nobody has ever seen a live action Wonder Woman film. There's no template and that's driving people nuts. Gadot has a chance to really make her own thing out of this. The fact that she fits Zack Snyder 's style and has that authentic ethnicity to her will be the driving factor to what will win people over. I don't pay two ounce of attention on those shallows who jump on her build because if it was up to the majority of the so called superhero fan base, they'd cast everything and everyone as out of proportion, roided out cosplayer's that have no linking to anything the director is set out doing in their visions. Fan boys have a reputation for a reason. They create their own laughable stigma. Judge once these movies come out because 9 times out of 10, fanboys with keyboards embarrass themselves in the long run.

Yep. It's pathetic. Women need to be "Just Perfect" in the media. You can't be too "fat" like Kelly Clarkson, Adele, or Jessica Simpson, and you can't be too "thin" like Gal Gadot. You have to achieve a Cleopatra-level of perfection that is 99% impossible in the real world. Makes me sick. The odds of ever looking like the majority of women in the entertainment industry are so rare, they're practically aliens.

I do think other actresses who aren't bulky could gain mass and definition with the same effort Gal put in, maybe even faster. She's just not becoming more than what we've seen. And frankly, there are old pics of her in which she looks the same as she is now. It's like she didn't gain anything, just regained after being more skinny.

Someone I talked to made a good point about how she wouldn't be bulky even if she could. That would affect her modeling career.

IDK, we have to wait. But I have no faith that she will be exceptional. Maybe not bad, maybe fine, but I don't see how she can be "wow, this is the Wonder Woman we need". If the script and the movie are awesome, we can get over it.

Well, there is no doubt Jamie Alexander can act , but there would have been plenty of complaints about her too.

I've seen people complain about Alexander's acting. And I like Alexander but she is far from awards calibre herself.
