I'd rather he just wear some form of the purple suit. They don't have to make everything out to be like TDKR.
You know, Some people might think you mean The Dark Knight Rises and not The Dark Knight Returns .

I have to say, I actually really like that manip a lot.

The manip is solid. I'm just not a fan of the white suit. I rather see the purple.

God, that would be 100x worse. :oldrazz:

I still hope they shape up at least 50% of this DCCU in the vein of DKReturns. If that happens, I will forever worship Based Snyder.

I don't mind the idea of the white suit, just because it's not like the previous two live action Jokers didn't have the purple suit. And I'm sure we'll see Leto in a purple suit eventually regardless, as he's likely going to be the first actor to play the role in multiple films. So I'm all for some variation.

Are the good days of the DC animated universe gone? It's past midnight here, so I might be overacting. But I was watching some old DC animated films again and I really miss the quality of them.

Bruce Timm's absence is what did it, I think.

I agree on the writing of the DTVs but in terms of animation the current crop is light years ahead of all the old ones. I wish we could marry the writing of the older films to the production values of the current crop... And for Zod's sake DC/WB lock down the voice actors for the parts, and get a more interesting actor for Batman. Fillion IS Hal as far as I am concerned, but the rest are at best servicable, but that's a crap shoot even since they keep changing them up.

Eh... When he stepped away I felt that the shows got better, and things like the shorts and the DTVs aren't like, written by him or anything. An executive producer role is important but the writers and directors are more responsible than he is no matter his role or title.

edit: By step away I don't mean stop in his capacity as head of the division or executive producer, I mean on how JLU improved when other voices had more of a say in things. I am one that feels JLU is a FAR better product than the entirety of JL, with Starcrossed and Twilight the big exceptions of episodes that rise above mediocre.

This new wave has been pretty awful. The only one I enjoyed was Assault on Arkham. Throne of Atlantis is bad, Son of Batman was awful and don't even get me started on War. I wish they'd get better writers, voice actors and stop trying to make them all one universe.

If I could pick and choose whomever I wanted, and lock them in for a the voice cast of the animated DCU DTVs, things would shake down like this:
Superman- George Newbern (If it aint broke, don't fix it.)

Batman- (See above... Also the most iconic voice actor of the last 20 years, so there is that.)

Wonder Woman- Tatianna Maslany

Green Lantern (Hal)- Nathan Fillion

Green Lantern (Jon)- Michael Jai White

Green Lantern (Guy)- Patrick Warburton

Flash (Barry)- Alan Tudyk

Aquaman- Keifer Sutherland

Martian Manhunter- Keith David

Green Arrow- Collin Cunningham

Black Canary- Morena Baccarin

Atom- John C. Mcginley

Nightwing- Neil Patrick Harris

Cyborg- Donald Faison

Vixen- Aisha Tyler

Supergirl- Summer Glau

Lois Lane- Pauley Perrette

Alfred Pennyworth- David MacCallum
I know that there are animation fans that would balk at that list for a lot of reasons, however the biggest one will probably be so few veteran voice actors. Well... I feel that the more screen actors that a show or animated film has, the better. Sorry, but I don't want to hear Kevin Michael Richardson, Nolan North, Maurice LaMarche or Steve Blum EVER AGAIN. Why? Because they are practically in EVERYTHING, and if you are a fan you can pick them and the handful of variations they use on their voice EVERY TIME. And frankly, the use of screen actors from film and TV always adds to the quality of the show or animated feature. I think it's a huge reason JLU was as good as it was. We had Morena Baccarin there instead of Grey Delisle for the fiftieth time.

Pretty much

Son of Batman is more entertaining than the Justice League movies, and I like the adaption more than the story it's based on.
I agree about the shared Universe for the movies.

True. Last film I enjoyed was Flashpoint. I don't know why they've also changed the characterizations of the JL members. That makes no sense to me.

this confirms the team, 7, that we already know :D but its confirmed now and its confirmed that Ray is reading SHH and especially my signature :D

War is awful, and I haven't seen Son of Batman. Throne of Atlantis and Assault on Arkham were both decent in their own way.

The main problem with TOA was adding inconsequential material (Supes and WW romance, Cyborgs situation etc.. ) and not focusing more on Arthur. When you have only 70 minutes to work with you'd better get as much screen time from the lead character as possible. They didn't do that here.

Maybe it also indicates it's going to be Hal. Maybe.

And those seem so forced and rushed that it is just stupid to waste time on them.

Well Cyborg has always been a big tech fan. Plus Batman and Superman are too busy broodin and who knows if Wonder Woman gets cell service on Amazon or Aquaman gets service under the sea.

Ray better say BOOYAH as Cyborg.
