is there anyone here who actually loves 3D?

I tried fo get into it but it kinda messes with my eyes, prefer 2D in iMax, the only true gigantic iMax screen near me is in culver city at the Howard Hughes center. The screen is colossal! But they changed it from imax tech to XD, which many seem to prefer.

For an extra 5 bucks why not? Especially with Snyder movies.
My IMAX theater (legit 70mm) prices their tickets at 20 bucks (matinee or evening) excluding the surcharge of three dollars for the 3D glasses. A regular screening there costs around 12 dollars for evening showings (around 8 for matinee showings). The regular screen is surprisingly big, too.

The last IMAX movies I've seen were Mission Impossible: GP, TDKR and Interstellar.

Sigh, the things that I would do in order to have access to this so that I could just skip this waiting...

When we get about 4-5 horrible ones in a row. And I mean they'll have to be stinkers.

I don't see that happening in the foreseeable future, so I don't think we have anything to worry about, as far as CBM go.

Agreed.

And honestly, I hope this goes on forever. I'm glad that I can finally see characters I grew up with done justice on the big screen. I seriously get annoyed when I go on a damn superhero message board and see comments like "I can't wait until people get 'superhero fatigue' and stop going to see these movies." It's fine if people feel that way, but it's like, what are they doing here, you know? If superhero movies suck so badly, then why bother talking about them?

If people are really sick of it or thing these movies are SO vastly inferior to everyone out there, I would remind them of the 1990s, when Hollywood took a crack at this superhero thing before and all the actors looked like idiots in Phoenix Jones costumes. This is the f***ing Golden Age compared to that.

I'm actually getting more sick of IMAX than I am 3D. I like 3D for Pixar movies, and I thought Avatar looked great, so I know I'll see the sequel in 3D, but for the most part, I stay 2D.

At least with 3D movies, you still have the option. With any movie shot in IMAX, you still get the horribly distracting changes with the aspect ratios. And with how very few real/true IMAX theaters there are, I just think it's a waste of money for the vast majority of the people who pay for it. Most "IMAX" theaters are LIEMAX. But whatever, both are gimmicky.

It depends what kind of 3D it is. 95% of post converted 3D movies sucked. But the ones which shoot using 3D cameras are worth it.

I loved Avatar, Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Gravity in 3D.

My IMAX (Cineplex) theater charges 20$ for both 2D and 3D. BvS is day 1 IMAX for me. Does anyone know if they are using 3D IMAX cameras?

Depends on the director/editor I guess. That transition when Cruise stepped out of the window to climb the Burj Khalifa tower in Ghost Protocol was beautifully done. Also, the last 50 minutes of Hunger Games (second one) were in IMAX, so until then there were no ratio changes. The transition was also very smooth.

I do not like 3D. Took the kids to see a free 3D screening of "How to Train Your Dragon" and it was just horrible. The kids have now sworn it off too.

People overseas love 3D, here in the states the interest isn't as big as Hollywood first thought. I find 3d to be a distracting gimmick and nothing more. I don't care if movies are in 3D just don't force me to watch in that format.

Worrying about "superhero fatigue" is wasted energy.

Either enjoy the ride while you can or stop going to see them. Whichever floats your boat.

I wonder how well 3DTV sales are going these days, in North America.

Oh my god thank you! I think it's a supreme waste of time as well.

We aren't making any money off of these films, let Hollywood worry about superhero fatigue.

Worrying about a lot of things is wasted energy.

Thank you! Glad someone said it!

I would be happy if 3D continued to exist in theme parks only.

RT! #DC #RUMOR #BatmanvSupermanDawnofJustice Jason Todd's uniform is in a display case inside the Batcave! In fact, The Joker & Harley Quinn are estranged in SUICIDE SQUAD because she feels guilt over the death of Todd. I'm also told that the RED HOOD is now a priority character for DC. One more thing, John Wick directors Chad Stahelski & David Leith being courted to direct DC film! #dccu #dcmovie #batmanvsuperman #suicidesquad #skwad #dccomics #TheJoker #harleyquinn #jasontodd #redhood #ChadStahelski #DavidLeitch

The directors of one of the best action movies of the past decade? :awesome: I know it's Eh Maybe, but **** that would be awesome! Wonder which they could direct if they are being courted by Warner Bros.

Now WB just needs to grab Gareth Evans, and we'll have an unstoppable team of action directors.
