That plane exploded when it crashed into the world engine. Hardy's a little too dead for sex.

Came into this thread without reading the last page.

Thought you were talking about this Hardy.

Wonder how the Jason Todd costume in the glass case will appear in the film if that rumour is true.

Part of me wants to see the scaly briefs and pixie shoes and actually half believes Snyder would do it too. I mean look at Nightowl 1's costume in Watchmen.

But then again I think they might make it something of a mix between the Tim Drake's first costume and Damian Wayne's.

I'm starting to think that every incarnation of Superman has been the best at at least one aspect of the Superman adaptation.

Superman 78 was the best characterization of Superman himself

Smallville was the best at dramatizing the family relationship between Ma and Pa Kent and Clark

Lois and Clark was the best at depicting the supporting characters like Lex, Perry, Jimmy and Lois and the best adaptation of the locations like the Daily Planet and Metropolis.

Man of Steel was the best at showing the real extent of his powers and fleshing out the Kryptonian backstory.

Fleischer was the best at capturing the classic spirit of adventure the concept of Superman should exude.

Timmverse was the best at adapting Superman's place in the greater DC universe and with the other heroes.

lol no Returns?

True. Hardy most likely perished in the conflagration; and he seemed well aware of his fate, as evidenced by him throwing Faora's own words right back at her in their final moment before the end: "A good death is its own reward."

I hope the old Robin costume appears. It would give Batfleck emotional depth. He's a tortured person, and not just from his parents death. Walk up to the case, look over it and walk away. He wouldn't even have to speak during such a scene. The image would be powerful enough on its own.

I'd love if he took inspiration from this scene- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqAej_MQTu0
you know, minus the "when did you shave" line haha I never really liked that one. But yeah, it would also be a nice way to show off the Batfleck bod.

I'd love it if Dick called in BvS but wanted to talk to Alfred instead of Bruce.:awesome:

I just can't believe we're finally going to see a mythos where Jason Todd isn't swept under the rug and ignored.

Even the Timmverse skipped him and went straight to Tim Drake (Even though they gave Tim his backstory and somewhat tragic end).

Jason is one of DC's great tragic figures. For a long long time he was symbolic of Batman's greatest failure.

lol I knew I forgot something.

I suppose that had the best... um. Hmm. Plane rescue?

Damn right. It was the best scene and it was exhilarating. Especially that perspective of a passenger looking outside to see Superman holding a wing just gives me goosebumps everytime. It makes it look real.

I actually wonder if we'll ever see Henry's Superman involved a in sequence where he's rescuing a airplane, given on how it's been done several times in past incarnations.

The closest thing that we've seen of Henry's Superman when it comes to an aerial rescue was when he saved Lois from one of zod's escape pods.

With Zimmer's score playing, that was one of the most exhilarating scenes in the film.

I can definitely see something like this happening. I think Supes will get his scene of heroic action and Batman will get his scene to show off a bit before the plot really gets going for the two of them.

Wouldn't the story of Red Hood, where Robin (a hero) dies and then is found to be alive and acting as a anti-hero / villain be too similar to Captain America: Winter Soldier (minus the Hydra - shield story) ?

Oh by the way did anyone see the recent honest trailer for Daredevil? It was kinda funny how they called it Affleck's "worst audition to be the next Batman" lol. They called it "Batfleck Begins". Love those vids.

Yeah I've thought about this before. It's funny because Under the Hood and the Winter Soldier arcs both occured in the comics within months of one another.

I think Todd could be differentiated from the MCU version of Bucky because Bucky is more a friend and confidant rather than a kid sidekick in the Cap movies. He wasn't seen as Cap's charge to take care of and watch out for.

Another difference is that the MCU Bucky willingly sacrifices (I think) himself in Cap 1 and in the comics as well.

Jason disobeyed Batman's orders and recklessly goes to get his mother from Joker, which ultimately leads to his downfall. They could convey this if we ever get a UTRD type movie with a flashback

Also Bucky had his mind wiped and wasn't himself, while Jason is acting on his own free will.

Interesting rumor about Max Landis possibly writing MOS 2, especially since he was such a vocal critic of the first one. Not sure how I feel about it, really... Landis is a very good writer but after watching that video of him talking about MOS, I really grew to loathe him. I was fine with his criticisms of the film, but he just came off like such an arrogant a**hole that it made me want to see him get blacklisted from ever working on a movie again. Still, if he is indeed working on MOS 2, it would make me excited because it would mean that A. there WILL be more solo Superman movies (Wrong again, Tobias!) and B. they have a talented writer on the product (even if he is a total *****ebag and a byproduct of Hollywood nepotism).

Maybe not but I'd still like to see a sequence where he stops a train. We always hear that he's "more powerful than a locomotive" but we've yet to see that from him on film. In the Donner film, they couldn't realistically pull that off so they had him lie down and become a train track (which makes even less sense).

As cliché as it may be, I like to see the old shirt rip followed by a dramatic, larger than life rescue sequence.

Yeah, I hope we get that. I'd rather not see him save a plane since that's been done, but I'm sure they can cook up something just as spectacular.

in MOS he does get hit by and then pushes a locomotive out of his way... but a more dramatic version would have been nice.

Maybe Superman should have hit Non with the train.:sly:
