Currently watching Batman Forever, I still think Kilmer was a good Batman.

Would be cool to see Kilmer make a comeback if he can get back in shape that is.

Him coming back with Cruise in the sequel to Top Gun and instructors would be sweet!

Right now I am sticking with the idea that Wonder Woman is given a vision of the future. In that future we see "Desert Storm Batman" as the last holdout, maybe even the last living superhero that opposes a tyrant "Superman" (in quotations for a reason). The vision shows Batman's last stand and how Superman and his minions track down and finally kill the Dark Knight.

Wonder Woman takes off from Paradise Isle to avert this future. The hitch is that the "Superman" in her vision is not the real Man Of Steel. He is actually a "Bizarre" duplicate created by Luthor that in that future is either still in Luthor's thrall or killed Luthor and has taken power for himself. This "Bizarre" duplicate of Superman is the force that brings the Trinity together in the big finale battle. Thus the shot of a full force blast of heat vision almost hitting Batman. That's not Superman firing on Batman but the duplicate. The trailer is just cut in a way to not reveal this.

That's my theory anyway.

I'm thinking if it was just a dream/vision sequence they wouldn't have released that promo shot of Ben in the costume.

To me that states that's a "real" sequence.

I'm not a fan of the neck snap but that might be Snyder giving an "FU" to the critics of MoS?

I think it works.
Not a fan of Batman killing a dude, but in that situation it seems he was overwhelmed, and the neck snap was unavoidable.

If that character is lucky, all he will get in the movie is a neck pain.
