But but but....as MoS taught us, killing is only a problem when it's gritty. This is why nobody gives a **** Supes killed Zod in SM2. It doesn't count when you smile :o

That's what the hypoCRITICS sure believe! Haha:loco:

SPOILER ALERT! This email was sent to Jaeroar (Popular DC fanboy/Youtuber)... Read at your own risk, as it contains potential spoilers.

I would love it if true, especially if TKJ was slightly being adapted but... why would a marketing guy receive that clip, it has very little to do with selling this film?

I think anyone in govt like that (and she's probably the head of the committee that oversees homeland security) is afraid when they are responsible for something they cannot control. He's an unknown variable. She probably has good intentions. And she's trying to err on the side of caution. But she's trusting Lex and he's got his own agenda.

I agree. I hope they take the route of having her express legit concerns about superman in a political forum. First and foremost, he doesn't have to be accountable to any authority. That alone is reason enough to be vary of his actions.

Yeah, the aftermath of the attack by the Kryptoinians in Metropolis would be a huge deal and probably result in massive amounts of Federal hearings, much as with the terrorist attacks on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center. Senators would undoubtedly want answers on a ton of things (let's remember that the military did find the Scout Ship and then it took off... And denied such knowledge to the press... That's gotta be a sticky wicket to explain). But the AFTERMATH is even more important in a way. The aftermath is that a super powered being whom no one has authority over is now among the populace of the planet and of the U.S. in particular.

I just want Finch to not be some airhead politician or nefarious. Their needs to be a reckoning of how the world reacts to a do gooding Titan in human form.

Can I also say... I really am tired of hearing some people comment on the trailer and say that Superman is on trial for what happened in MOS, or that Superman caused the Wayne building to collapse. It's like... please... PAY ATTENTION BEFORE YOU COMMENT.

No it's not. Tone can completely change the way audiences react to a movie.

Yes, it is. You can't say that you're against Superman killing and then be okay with it in SM-II. Either Superman can kill or he can't, tone doesn't come into it.

You're gonna hurt yourself trying to explain logic. Please be careful.

Using "tone" as reasoning doesn't make up for double standards and hypocrisy at all IMO....and I can use so many analogies and comparisons but it's just a waste of time.

When did I say that? I'm talking about the way the general moviegoer perceives this kind of stuff. That scene from Superman 2, as questionable as it is, doesn't carry half the weight of Superman killing Zod in Man of Steel.

Yeah, I don't agree with comments like that, either. The bulk of the buildings came down when the WE hit and supes was busy trying to stop all that.

You know, I hope that superman is given reasonable dialogue to defend himself with against accusations hurled during the hearing or whatever it is. He should be gracious enough to comply with the questioning, but confident enough to defend himself when appropriate and admit to shortcomings as he sees them.

has anyone cut together both trailers into one Super trailer?

I didn't say you said it, I was using "you" in an abstract sense, i.e. "someone."

Tone helps people to overlook something, sure, but it doesn't make it any less hypocritical if they say "we don't think Superman should kill" and then are okay with it in SM-II.

...lets not bicker and argue about who killed who...:sly:

Well what's everybody standing round about for.....somebody should get on that!
