It makes sense for Batman to have this vision/dream of Superman taking over. But how does Darkseid play in to that? Does he already exist in Batmans world? Why would we see reveals of Darkseid in a universe we so far only understand to have Batman, Superman, WW and Doomsday? Basically, what I'm saying is, how can Bruce have a vision of Darkseid unless everyone already knows who he is.

Is that Darkseid is somehow controlling his mind through the 'knightmare' visions he is having. I don't think batman always went around sadistically branding criminals like he is being portrayed in this universe, it is a side effect of Darkseid's mind control.
