1) AI going haywire and trying to take over the world has been the plot of two past comic book movies movies: Age of Ultron and Days of Future Past.

Yet, they're still very different. At no point when I was watching AoU I thought to myself "Yeah, I've seen this already in Days of Future Past".
Also, this alone ...

4) Gives the heroes a greater moral dilemma since they can't kill the OMAC's outright since there are people inside...would give the "Superman didn't save anyone" crowd something to shut up about.

It could just be Lex controlling the OMACs instead of an AI going haywire.

On a related note, what if Lex turns Lois into an OMAC? That's why Superman is bowing to Lex because he's the only one who can cure Lois.

I still think Supes is just weakened by Kryptonite in that scene and not surrendering to Lex.

Not necessarily. In MoS, the military brought in Lois, but they didn't know Supes was Clark. I'm sure by the time of BvS, the entire world would've caught on to the association of Lois with Superman.

That is because the two didnt have a prior relationship. In this movie Clark and Lois are sleeping together/living together. People saw them kissing after the Black Zero event was stopped and hugging after Zod was killed. People with the ability to monitor such things would put two and two together.

And besides, the DOFP sentinels were mostly a bit of a letdown.

Really? I thought they were great. Obviously magneto was going to totally curb stomp them due to there very design. But they did show how effective they can be.would love to see the face design they have in the comics. No biggy if they don't go that route.

Ah, yes. The two of them are living together, in fact. So if Lex is keeping an eye on Lois and now sees her living with Clark Kent, that could set him on the path to figuring out Supes' identity. Fair point.

Exactly. But sadly there will those who will act like it's all the same and that DC is copying. They will trim everything down to 1 element and say it's the same. But it really won't be.

There are so many stories that are like so many stories but how you incorporate it, the tone, the scenarios etc make it fresh & different in its own way.

You have star trek, star wars and a host of tv shows and then GOTG and that was fine. Same should be for GLC which will have enough differences to feel fresh.

Sure they're nothing alike TO ME and most other people. But if you want to make it alike by cutting out crucial plot points, tone etc and making it bare bones you can. It would be wrong to do so. But if you're so inclined...
