Lex probably won't like The Joker...also Superman mentioned!

Shazam doesn't even have a Shazam yet.

The guy from Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter could make a good Shazam.
He's got the height (6'3) and he can act.

(Just noticed how much he looks like Christopher Reeve)

There's only one person who should be Shazam, and that's Thad Castle himself:

Plus they could get him on the relative cheap compared to what they'll have to pay The Rock.

Plus, I don't know many actors who could pull off the New 52 style Shazam besides him.

Never heard of him. Looked his credentials up on the internet..........
No thanks.

fits the character, tbh

A joke, breh.

You like baby Neeson. That's cool. I have only seen him in that awful ridiculous vamp film.

Seann William Scott guys. He's already got proven chemistry with The Rock and can pull of the manchild thing.

Man you're late. This was posted 3 days ago, but yes I agree would love to see a director's cut similar to Watchmen.

Yeah, I figured this likely wouldn't be breaking news. But in addition to just being psyched to hear that an extended cut of some kind sounds likely... and assuming that BvS is a great movie... the notion that it could get a second release in theaters is pretty exciting to me. That's brilliant marketing too. Of course success all depends on the product being great (or at least really good, let's say) in the first place. If WB was to actually do this--i.e., it's a box office smash, and the releases a director's cut in theaters--I wonder what sort of gross they'd be looking at. I would love to see this thing top Avatar. I realize that's wishful thinking, though. In reality BvS probably won't do better than Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but I think that one has a shot at cracking two billion.

I thank the lord that you people have no actual say in CBM casting.

That's great. What comic is that from? Looks like Gary Frank art.

Shazam...probably be some new talent we never heard of...If Chris Pratt wasn't doing Guardians I would put money on him being Shazam.

WB is unpredictable with their casting. We all just gotta keep throwing out wild guesses. Something is bound to stick. But with The Rock attached, I'm definitely banking on someone cheap. Or at least, someone willing to play ball.

Not really. Of the people they have cast in their films they all have buzz. Cavill is working his way up the Hollywood food chain. Amy Adams makes films that get her nominated for Oscars, Ben Affleck won an Oscar and still appears in films people go see, Gal Gadot is an up and comer like Cavill and is getting more work...she also auditioned and won the part, Ezra Miller again is up and coming, Jesse Eisenberg...making movies people show up for...

The only real unpredictable casting was Ray Fisher...probably why his movie was set so far off so his character and him can build up buzz

I couldn't disagree more.

Agreed, Pratt does not resemble Shazam (Captain Marvel) to me at all. I really am finding the casting of Shazam to be a difficult one to predict or even come up with a suggestion for. It would be ideal if they could get a father and son to play the parts but I'm worried they're gonna do some weird CG thing.

Also maybe having the Rock cast as the villain gives them leeway to find a true unknown.

Because Hollywood/WB casts by who looks like a character. Does Ezra Miller look like Barry Allen?

Isn't "having buzz" still kinda casting a wide net though? I mean, WB is looking at everyone from your no-name stage actor to your A-list, Hollywood golden boy.

I know these things happen but looking at who Shazam is I just don't see Pratt in anyway at all. They are usually pretty good at casting actors who actually resemble the hero in some ways.
