And this works in the context of veteran crimefighter putting an idealistic rookie in his place.

Which is why I hate the older Batman/younger Superman dynamic.

Superman and Batman should be the same age. There's no way Batman should be 'sonning' Superman.

i think the do you bleed line was cool, but he should have said it to superman's face. it's like, he flies off... then batman is like -- you will. loses some effect that way :o

No problem, Superman can hear that. :oldrazz:

At that point in the movie Batman still sees Superman as a threat. It's trash talk.

I always invisioned batman being at least a little older than superman. But I'm definitely fine with the age gap theyve given them.

That's assuming he even knows that Clark is Superman. Either way, people are reading way too much into the scene. Perhaps Bruce just sees him as a young, inexperienced reporter who knows little about what he's talking about. Influential types (e.g., political figures, financiers, entrepreneurs) often talk down to the media in such a fashion. It's nothing new.

He was definitely older in the Timmverse, and that worked just fine.

...who's talking trash about the Batman - naturally Bruce gets a bit defensive.

I'd say the look he gives when saying "freaks dressed as clowns" heavily implies that he knows who Clark really is. You're are right though, a lot of us are over-analysing every bit of footage.

I hear you, I've also considered that possibility. The thing is, when we make arguments based on inferences like that, we're not sticking to concrete facts. Sure, there's a very good chance that Bruce knows Clark's identity at this point, but we just don't know for sure yet.

On the flip side we'll probably get Lex calling Bruce geriatric and over the hill.

I think it should be stated that I have absolutely no problem with people having issues with what we have so far. I have them with plenty of popular superhero films and while I don't have any problems with BvS so far, I might later. I don't chalk it up to fanboy nature.(even if the same handful of people are always reliably the ones with the issues)
BUT...
...that being said, you can't really be surprised when you're in a place where the majority of people are excited, that the issues you raise aren't shared or that you can't just raise points freely without responses. As long as no one's trying to keep you from making your points or instead of answering your points people demean you, it's all fair discussion.

Agreed, people are assuming heknows at that point by the way he looks at him so because of that they're saying its fact. We don't know if he knows they are the same person at that point.

I've actually suggested myself that he maybe doesn't like reporters and/or te daily planet and that's why he gives him the look. Another could be the line of questioning Clark gives him so Bruce may get defensive.

Yeah, when Clark first calls his name, Bruce just gives him a quick glance, then turns away to refocus his attention on WW. What appears to give him pause is the 'bat vigilante' reference. Now, if he knew Clark's identity from the very start, I don't think he would have brushed him off like that.

That's a very good point

He does know. It's pretty obvious.

No it isn't, you're taking what you think is happening and stating it as fact when it's not. It's obviously very likely but that doesn't mean that's definitely what we think we're seeing. Until we see the movie or hear otherwise it's all speculation.

Remember when almost everyone on the forum was convinced that Zod was behind this attack on Superman? Not so. It actually turned out to be the handiwork of Faora.

You know he still can hear what Bruce said right?, he got super hearing.

Exactly, I don't mind speculation at all it's just when people say no this is what's happening. It's like no that is what you think is happening.
