It'd be cool to have a poster with just their silhouettes. The DC characters are that recognizable, they don't even need to show their faces.

I really hope they do something like that for the promoting of the Justice League film. :hmr:

That's awesome, but I don't think that's appropriate for BvS. Now JL we're talking!

It wouldn't surprise me if they went with the same design as the soundtrack cover, or something similar to it anyway.

Anyone else curious about why this poster looks kinda Superman centric then Batman. :sly:

I think having a "cool" looking joker matched with Harley was a great marketing tool.
Like THESE? Greg Hildebrandt painted these recently. He was my painting teacher at the Kubert School back in the 80's

I've noticed that the younger generation teen girls seem to prefer the villains than the heroes, especially at cosplay conventions. I take it it's because the villains get to be dressed a little more skimpily?
Well My daughter prefers the Movie Ivy over the more recent comic verions

I like how the last couple posts are in sych with another lol. We'll done guys!

And Superman's....first! Muhahahaha!
I love how Superman was first in DC Comics as well as first in the DCEU. I don't think Superman fans will have to worry about this movie, we're in good hands with Snyder.

I'd say the soundtrack cover is going to be the main poster, especially because all the billboards are using a variation on it as well.

... only slight reason to question is the fact that the Man of Steel soundtrack had the basic S symbol ... yet the poster was the action shot of Superman flying above Metropolis.

Agreed! Ever since TDKR'S line was read at SDCC when this was first announced, Superman fans have had their moments and concerns, myself included.

But the more and more footage that is released, the more and more Snyder is proving that Superman is in wonderful hands.

I think what's awesome about everything we've seen so far about this movie is that there is clearly no bias towards one character. Superman has had his moments, Batman has had his. I think coming out of the movie, both Bats and Supes fans will be very pleased to see their favorite characters done justice.

Absolutely. When criticisms were high awhile back on this subject, I had posts rounded up on how badly DC needed both Superman and Batman to come out this thing smelling like roses and each have their moments because the both of them WILL be the pillars of the JL and the DCEU as a whole.

So far, they are going toe to toe with each other like heavyweights and that's a beautiful sign.

If they do a silhouette poster with everyone, I wouldn't think it would be released to the public until that weekend or just before

This has me thinking, I wonder how the overall dynamic of the DCEU would've been different if they had started with "Caped Crusader" instead of "Man of Steel", if you guys get what I'm saying. :hmm

I think/hope that might be how they end the CW special.

I honestly don't think it would have had the same amount of impact as we could potentially get judging from the mythologies of the characters. It makes MUCH more sense to me to see Amazonian's, Green Lantern ' s and Aquaman ' s come out of the woodwork because of Kal El, the alien from Krypton, over a crazy dude dressed up as a Bat. Nothing against Batman fans, but DC are full of characters that have the background of the Greek God phenomena.

They have this right.

You know during the first official day AOU released i booked my tickets for that day and the theatre gave us all this alternate poster of the film for free, would be awesome if they did something like that for JL1.

Here's that poster:

You KNOW I can't wait for JLA! lol
Kryptonian Warrior actually hears about it often lol He was wanting to fly me over to his area to watch the film at the Imax there, because the closest one HERE is 3 hours away

Also, maybe because it makes it look as if somebody put up a Batman poster on the side of a building, then someone else slapped a Superman poster over it, then somebody else came along and tried to rip the Superman poster off, implying a split in public opinion, like guerrilla street graffiti or whatever you call it, same as the Superman poster that had False God, etc. which I think is a really cool style for the marketing campaign, because it works as an advertisement for the movie, but also something that one of the citizens of Gotham or Metropolis of wherever could post on a wall within the DC Universe

EDIT: Just realized I was totally stating the obvious, but just saying I think it's a cool concept and very appropriate for a marketing campaign.

If anything, I really wish DC/WB would do an Other Worlds show. The thing that amazes me, is Batman is the most easy to do on tv because the lack of powers. Gotham to ME just didn't do it for me

Ever since i was a kid watching Batman/Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League/Unlimited, i have been waiting for a film with Supes and bats and Wondy and so many other characters in one film for a very long time, this is almost like a dream come true for me! :woot:

:funny: lol thats one way of looking at it.

I think you guys are too hard on Angry Joe, he has a right to his unpopular opinion.

I don't know why everyone's saying he's advocating a hate campaign against the film. He's been ecstatic about it since its announcement. He was one of the very few critics that defended MOS when everyone else shat on it (go watch the Nostaglia Critics review of MOS).
He's a very passionate guy, he has a vision of how he wants the film to go and the latest trailer went against that vision. Not saying I agree with him, it's just no reason to hate the guy.

Really great details and those colors. The popularity of this duo is going to be insane.
