... but that's kinda the point. You just proved yourself not being objective to this.

If you want me to be objective I think both Affleck and Eisenburg are trying too hard.

I absolutely loved both of those commercials - Gotham looks amazing, nice prominence for the Ace Chemicals sign... shame the club in the Bowery wasn't the Iceberg Lounge.

Haven't seen many tourism videos have you? Be lucky their not running along a beach and playing volleyball.

It's a bit of fun. Relax.

Considering that they are supposed to be acting as if acting, in a commercial... doesn't that work?

all the Arkham games are set in Gotham

Arkham City is still in Gotham

Last pic: nice place for Batman to perch :woot:
That is how Batman's career ended. He was perched on such a place and it gave way. His back was never the same after that.

I somehow don't think that's quite the case but whatever, as Star Lord says it's a bit of fun.

Going back to Super Bowl marketing, just seeing the civil war spot - i maybe biased, but i feel DC did enough over the last 6 months to show that, whilst both properties are free to do what they like, there is a similarity going on with the versus and sides to chose, but that DC started the ball rolling first (not that it is a competition in my mind). I can assume a few neutrals will be like 'oh marvel are doing a versus movie too'.

The only thing that could explode the internet is a decent Spiderman reveal... in my opinion... which is probably why DC didn't put everything into the Super Bowl.

fun times ahead either way.

Just saw the new CW spot. "Pick a side" seems to be a theme this spring.

Because Arkham City is just old gotham with a wall build around it?
Dice it anyway you want, I don't care if it's connected structurally or not, it's a different entity. That's like saying that Texas and the US are the same thing because they're connected.... Come on now

It was clear from the very start we weren't going to get a traditional sounding/looking Lex Luthor with Eisenberg, so I don't know why people are still picking at his performance using the standard Lex as a measuring stick, let it go people.

Affleck on the other hand IS Bruce Wayne, he looks and sounds exactly how Bruce Wayne would in real life.

Arkham is in Gotham. Arkham City is on Gotham grounds. The game takes place in Gotham.

I love DP...woah wait, I'm talking about Gotham night life again

No i get that.. i totally get that and is another reason why i go easy on Cavill's portrayal of Superman or the 'office' clark - as they too, in that world, are acts so to speak.

Would Kal El be a good enough actor to take on 2 extra roles? Himself, DP Clark and then Supes.

I'm pretty sure the actors were fully prepped for this segment and they were like - ok, you are Lex, reading cue cards - stay in character.

Ben, you are Bruvce Wayne, doing an advert you probably don't really want to do...

Arkham City is a walled off part of old Gotham INSIDE Gotham City that has been bought by Sharp and turned into a bigger prison. It is NOT A CITY. It's just named like that to imply it's bigger than Arkham Asylum. It is still in Gotham.

That's like saying "Nope, little Italy is not in NYC".

I love how they called Metropolis "the city of tomorrow". Nice reference to "the man of tomorrow". I wonder if they will use Man of Tomorrow as the title for the next Supes solo?

I realize that Gotham and Arkham City are connected and that it is part of Gotham. I also realize that it was a project to call it Arkham City, however they even acknowledge it as a different entity in the game. Batman tells Robin "Get back to Gotham, they need you." And that's good enough confirmation to me. Now enough, back on topic and finish this petulant squawking in the appropriate thread.

They'd have to put "Superman" as the main title so people get what the movie is but yeah, I wouldn't mind it.

I think they might call it "Superman" :sly:

Also, looking at the TA ad again, does it look like they are still working on the Daily Planet building? Maybe the globe will be on top of it by the end of the film?
