Ahh... the Silver Age. Where they put the weirdest **** imaginable on covers.

I dont think that counts as silverage...wasnt Ambush Bug in the 80s thus the Bronze age?

BTW that wasnt a cover...I believe it is the last page of the issue but I havent read it in years so I cant remember. I have all the Ambush Bug issues mainly cause I worked in a comic shop in like 2004-5 and just went wild buying all the issues on the cheap ;) (I fell in love with Ambush Bug when he joined the Justice League in one issue of 52)

If it's true that they're worried about Green Lantern being a member in Justice League therefore not showing up in the Part One or even Part Two, then they really need to stop worrying about what happened before with Ryan Reynolds.

If GL doesn't show in Part One, well, I'll get over it, even though it would be disappointing. But we were expecting that he would at least show up in Part Two. To not have him, and just have 6 members (even in the first movie) makes it almost as small as the first Avengers movie.

These superhero team is more iconic than The Avengers though. For the Avengers movie, they could have gone without Ant-Man, Wasp, Vision, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch for the first movie, as long as they get the most important ones that they must have: Cap, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Hawkeye. (I can't speak for Black Widow though since I haven't read that much Avengers comics)

For the Justice League though, it's always been 7 or 8, but at least 7. Members have been changed over the years, but you've got to AT LEAST have Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash AND GREEN LANTERN.

As for the remaining...Aquaman also. And either Cyborg or Martian Manhunter...Plastic-Man or Hawkgirl as they've often been replaced, making it 7 or 8 members roughly. But Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern always been a part of the team. I can't see the Justice League without Green Lantern. Whether it's Hal Jordan or John Stewart, he's one of the most iconic of the league along with the others.

What should they have to worry about having GL be on the team anyways? It's not a solo-Green Lantern movie so he doesn't need to play a huge part, but at least a supporting part. And it would be a different actor (if it is Hal Jordan) so we wouldn't need to worry about Ryan Reynolds.

this one?

Well, uh, I wonder what Gal's husband thinks of that....

I would dare say this has too many sub-plots but that is a given, as is the obvious ignorance on display of multiple subjects. Let me put it this way... Reverse the meanings of most of the post in question and you would be on the path to a statement of sober analysis.

Yep. Not a cover but a tease that was in the first three issues of the first AB mini on the last page, and it was put out like the year before COIE or there about, so yep, not in the Silver Age per se either.

Something to consider about Superman...

The astronaut that just came back from a year in space grew two inches. Some of Superman's power comes from our weaker gravity. Shouldn't he be taller?

:sly:

No Green Lantern until JL2 or even later breaks my heart slightly.

Well, uh, I wonder what Gal's husband thinks of that....

Gal's husband isn't worried. Ben is wearing this new cologne that he just acquired... It's called "Desperation" and girls can smell it a mile away. Although men think it's really smooth, it's actually quite a turn off to women. :woot:

I feel that the reason they are holding back on GL is they haven't wrote a story that will allow GL to appear naturally. Hopefully in JL Pt1 they can allude to GL and have him appear in JL Pt2.

I think that from previous attempt of GL, WB is serious about giving GL mythos the respect it deserves.

Affleck and Gadot look serious, while Cavill looks calmly happy.

How are they not Batman, WonderWoman, and Superman?

If fans around here are sad about GL, please remember... People have been counseling not building up expectations or reading into things (I.E. Ambroyer BS) for quite some time now in regards to GL.

What are the chances of the extended cut being released the same day as the blu-ray releases? Or do y'all think they'll wait a year?

Think positive and be thankful they aren't cramming him in just to fit him in if it doesn't seem to work. I tend to think they are playing a bit coy with him. I do think he won't show up till JL2 in any event and I think we all felt that way. Maybe a surprise at the end of 1. I dunno.

when BvS take 250 million in 20 days, they are gonna fast track that GL corps :)

Love everything that was in the EW article!

It's a bit of a bummer about no GL until JL2 at the earliest, but look at this as a good thing. It shows that they are really taking the time to properly plan, and not just force characters in just for the sake of it. Which definitely makes me feel very comfortable about the way the DCEU is being handled.

Excited to hear more about the Ultimate Cut tomorrow!

Quoting myself as a reply
I look at it this way. When we do get the GLC we'll also get Sinestro Corps, RLC, Star Saphires, Indigo Tribe, BLC, Larfleeze, the Guardians and everything else tied to Johns' canon. Essentially we'll get the Green Lantern Cinematic Universe which is also a part of the DC Cinematic Universe.

Green Lantern will be WB's answer to Star Wars except it can intergrate and crossover with the larger DC universe unlike the MCU.

The EW article does say "This summer" for the Ultimate Cut. Wether that is the official word or just them assuming thats when it will be released remains to be seen. But I imagine thats the official word since they have the exclusive scoop on it. Especially since we know the cut has already been prepared and rated, its not like LOTR or Hobbit films that get their extended edited after the theatrical run is complete.

Oh, they will wait to milk us for maximum cash.
I hope there's a regular Unrated Cut edition that comes out the same day as the theatrical edition (that's what they did with Watchmen).

I don't care about the bells and whistles of the Ultimate Edition if it comes with a ridiculous price tag.
