Maybe the vision is to say the future is messed up, and they need to avert it from happening. But of course Batman keeps the information to himself, and will take action himself.

Well, if I were in bats shoes, I wouldn't think anyone would believe me anyway. It's just a crazy dream in his perspective.

Both Supes and Bats have a Knightmare separately.

the Knightmares and Lex's manipulation are driving them to a confrontation.

I knew I was right about GL. Nobody believed me. He's on the shelf indefinitely.

I love the idea of expanding the league in JL2.

We start with Bats, Supes, Wondy, Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman.

Then by the next film they can add Shazam, Green Lantern, and Martian Manhunter.

It's perfect. Keep us wanting more.

I think DC wants 2 things before we see GL again. Time to forget the Ryan Reynolds movie, and trust in the DCEU brand, like Marvel has.

How is he on the shelf indefinitely? Green Lantern Corps is on the schedule. Odds are Hal and John get introduced in GLC, while Shazam makes an appearance in JL2.

I'm not sure where you are getting Martian Manhunter from. I don't think he's in the game yet. If anything, Ted Kord and Booster Gold are somewhere in the pipeline ahead of MM.

If anything is shelved indefinitely it's clearly Man of Steel 2. I guess WB feels as though this first slate should consist solely of solo films, with Justice League and Suicide Squad being the sole exceptions (I think this confirms that JLD isn't really moving forward - SS 2 is taking that place).

That leaves the next five-year slate for the sequels. In that case, Martian Manhunter could definitely make an appearance, either in the third Justice League film or in one of the other solo films.

I think I am now really really gone until the the movie comes out

Do you think they went ahead and cast Darksied yet?

Maybe Mera will be part of the League.

I think WB is right in their approach to GL. He's too big of a character with a lot of story to explore. They already rushed him once, and if they do it again the character is doomed AND the Justice League brand is tainted. They know what they're doing. They see the potential in GLC and they know it's huge. They can't screw him up again.

There's also a real possibility that they won't want to recast actors in roles, so in the event that Affleck is done after 4 or 5 movies, or Fisher, or Momoa, they'll want to trade any of these characters with GL or Shazam or Martian and still have a solid lineup.

I do honestly think that they're trying to set the stage to where Batman doesn't have to be their bread and butter anymore, and where a future JL movie can be confident without him. I absolutely LOVE that they're taking Aquaman and Cyborg seriously. I think every member should be equally important, and if one has to leave, the team can still carry on easily on film.

I haven't read any of the EW stuff today! The movie is so close now, I think it's time me for me to officially go dark! I'll be back March 22 to answer all your questions, unless they make me sign something saying I can't.:cwink: March 21 can't come soon enough!!!! :woot:

Thank you all for providing fun and interesting conversations, I shall take my leave now.

I'm gonna wait till Snyder talks about Green Lantern, he's the guiding vision not some random executive. Personally Green Lantern should be in JL 1, he's always been a founder. And there have always been at least seven.

I'm also curious who Jena Malone is playing. It's not a bit role, why keep it so secret otherwise? But it's not integral to the plot. But that journalist says that she isn't Barbara, but he might not be familiar with the character and how would he know if she is cut from the theatrical release? Who are you Jenaaaa

I can't wait to see the haters whine if it breaks 70 percent fresh "WELL ZACK WAS JUST HANDED A GREAT SCREENWRITER"

I'll mock them to their face if they say that. PS. I want to be the next Truffaut.

Neither are particularly great reasons for sticking to those patterns with an adaptation.

im assuming if her part was cut, and that's the version he saw he presumably wouldn't know who she was playing at all. The article made it seem as though EW doesn't know who is she playing either. Also still awaiting confirmation of Shazam being in the DCEU or if he's his own thing

That "random executive" is part of the DC Brain Trust

If he has details on what was cut...then he may know who Jena Malone was playing

There's never been an adaptation of the Justice League that hasn't featured Green Lantern, and those reasons are at least a small part of it. To have the big screen debut of the Justice League omit Green Lantern just feels wrong

Sure but he isn't the final say, I would trust Synder or Terrio's word over anything the other trustees would say

Sorry for the double post but I'm on a tablet.
