Batman upstages Superman.
That Lex turns out to be a puppet hired by Mercy Graves.

Batman upstaging Superman is my biggest concern, having him beat Superman to a pulp would be damaging to to the character.

A rushed plot.
Complete disregard for the destruction of MoS.
Lois Lane falling for Bruce Wayne
Batman actually laying a beatdown and winning against Superman.

Making the "VERSUS" too large a part of the movie. AAMOF, I'd prefer they didn't fight at all. As I've said in other threads, the hero vs. hero thing has been done to death.

Bad editing/pacing could hurt it.
Bad writing/acting.
Actor who plays Batman sux.
Cavill can't bring his Clark Kent persona to life because of the demands of the plot.
Not enough Lois.
Too much Lois.

I agree with this

I just think to how well they handled it in STAS Worlds Finest three-parter, they had a minor scuffle if you can even call it that and it worked so well. Unfortunately WBs will be in love with the image of those two fighting :csad:

^ Because too many fans tend to have these stupid battles. I guess it got ingrained in their thinking. Or they've only heard of TDKR and not the tons of comics in which Supes/Bats are friends.

The thing that would annoy me the most is a love triangle between Bruce, Clark and Lois....unless it involves them all dating each other. Polyamory for the win.

But seriously....no love triangles.

That's pretty much it, so far. I don't love the idea of Batman beating Superman in some way, but if it's done logically and done for the right purposes in the film, I think it might be ok. Maybe.

I don't think they'll go that route, I think by the end of MOS Superman & Lois might already be a couple.

I'm hoping, but I never trust Hollywood to do anything right.

I don't understand how Bale would have no choice but to play Batman again...

A twist that reveals the real bad guy is Otis.

Pointless location shooting to corner the Asian market

Toy merchandising opportunities everywhere

Getting a director who misses out on the little character details. That would definitely break the movie for me.

A lot could go wrong. Particular the use of Lois. But I'm trying to be optimistic.

Worried she'll be underused or relegated to only been rescue material?

- That the movies plot would be too complicated
- that the movies runtime would be too short
- that the movies runtime would be too long therefore resulting in a boring movie
- the music score would have to be split up to distinguish a Batman and Superman theme

Exactly, I like to hear one of them throw in a "chum" every now and then.

For me it would be if they go the older Batman route. I want this to be an epic tale about two young heroes meeting for the first time early in both their careers.

If the shared universe progresses and there are many films, I don't want to have "missed" a whole bunch of Batman's career.

1)They bring back Bale and they link the Nolanverse to this movie.
2)Batman beats Superman, the magnitude of how much this would suck would be magnified exponentially if 1) happens.
3) Batman upstages Superman.
4) People walk away from the movie hating on Superman.
5) Henry Cavill being hated on for beating Batman by the "too young and too dumb Batman fans" quoting AngryJoe.
6) The script and general plot direction sucks due to the insertion of the Goddamn Batman.
7) This movie becomes an "Iron Man 2" where the need to showcase the DC Universe outweighs the general quality.
8) Stuff MOS leads to aren't followed up on properly. Examples include Lex Luthor, a day in the life of Clark Kent, the Daily Planet, the Clark/Lois romance. Sure David Goyer himself said there'll be some follow-up but in what capacity we don't know.
9) The script being poor and reducing the worth of certain characters, Superman being most at risk here.
10) Creating a 3 way love triangle between Bruce/Lois/Clark
11) The entire movie being set around Batman fighting Superman leading to 2-5. To quote AngryJoe again, both of these men should not be fighting. They are greatest pair of friends even before the likes of Kirk & Spock and many other great friendships in fiction. Both of these people are stronger if they combine for the greater good and take down the real bad guys like Lex Luthor etc. They should consider this if they are going to lead to JL.
12) They choose the worst source material for ideas like The Dark Knight Returns or All Star Batman & Robin for ideas on how to characterize Batman.

An old Batman isn't too bad. As long as it's not Josh Brolin old then it's ok. Superman said he's about 33, so a Batman around 38-40(who's been active for about 5 or more years) seems better. Besides, I don't think anyone here wants a Batman that's in his 20s and winds up like this on a daily basis:
