Now we know why they cast Minka Kelly. Actress in her twenties would be way too young for actor in his 40s, even for Hollywood who loves their older man/younger woman pairings. Eh, I'm not a huge fan of designated love interests at any rate.

Love me some Minka Kelly and was great to see Urban kicking more ass in the future. Excellent use of weapons and sci fi gadgets. Think I got a new favorite show...

Boardwalk Empire and Game Of Thrones are probably my favorites right now. But, as far as new shows this Fall this has been by far my favorite Premiere. Hopefully it keeps up, cause I was really impressed. I knew nothing about it till tonight so everything took me by surprise.

yeah Urban was awesome (as always!) in this I too find this is my fave show of the new season for sure.

Overall I enjoyed the pilot, still waiting before further judgement.

This makes me want to see Urban in a Dredd sequel even more. That last shot he took, I instantly pictured him wearing the helmet.

The first episode didn't blow me away, but was good enough to keep me watching.

The best compliment I can possible give this show is that it reminds me of how a live-action Ghost In The Shell might be done.

It's a cool twist on the buddy cop thing as both characters are pretty much smart asses with neither really being the "straight man."

I thought it was a good start, like all premieres these days it moved a bit fast and had a bit of a contrived finale but I like the dynamic between Joe and Dorian and visually the show has that cool and familiar near future aesthetic.

I'm guessing Insyndicate are going to be the series overarching villain and was the woman in the box in evidence the ex that betrayed Joe? or was it Gina Carano as was mentioned in another post?

One thing that surprised me was how quickly the M-X's and the cops weaknesses were exposed, I mean the M-X's were shut down in one go and the cops anti viral inoculations were corrupted to kill them, all in the first episode.
