Almost Human

Well, there is at least some ongoing character development.

But yeah. Unless they change that, I think I will lose interest.

Watched an episode of this at a friend's house earlier, the one with the kid from The Dark Knight strapping bomb collars on people. Pretty awesome. Michael Ealy and the DRNs are ****ing awesome. I may have to go and check out the rest and get all caught up cuz it seemed at the least pretty cool

I like it but I'm also concerned it won't make it judging by the ratings which would be disappointing. This series has been taking that slow work up to telling us what's really going on approach that's become really popular and annoying over the past decade.

I know they want to make the most of their first season story but if they fail to gain an audience before it gets cancelled then what's the point?

This show needs an overarching storyline.

Definitely. I like the cast and the effects are good but they seriously need an overarching story. I thought Kennex would be looking for his girlfriend but they haven't mentioned her since the premiere. And there was also the female android at the end of the premire.

I remember reading a while back episodes are being shown out of order. I'm not sure why they are doing this, but if I had to hazard a guess I'd say it was to push the buddy-cop aspect. For the first couple of episodes, I wasn't really feeling the vibe between Ealy and Urban, but that has improved, which makes sense if the episodes are being shown out of order. It's like they jumped from being reluctant partners to buddy-buddy with no story in between.

I think showing the episodes out of order is hurting the show's ability to have an overarching storyline because everything is all over the place.

It's on Fox who seem to like doing that so it makes sense. I looked at the production codes and some of them appear to show they are out of sequence.

The first 7 episodes are out of order, except for the premiere episode. The show creator said they'd start being in chronological order by the 8th episode, which is this coming week's new episode.

In live audience, it's only getting around 6 million but when they add in Live+7, it jumps to around 9 million, which isn't too bad for a new show on Fox.

I know it does well with the +7 numbers but that doesn't always matter with the networks. Fox also has a bad reputation for cancelling things when the numbers aren't impressive enough for their liking.

According to Deadline, Karl Urban was originally going to play Ichabod Crane for Sleepy Hollow. Instead he opted to do Almost Human.

It was probably the better choice. He works better as the cynical gruff guy.

Sometimes you have to wonder if they want shows to fail.

I mean how ****ing hard is it to air them in proper order? Imagine if they did that with 24 (before it became immensely popular).

*blam!* I think he's going make a habit of killing those copbots :hehe:

Oh man, I didn't know Gina Carano was the android in police storage. Groovy.

yup knew that when you see her in that storage thingy in the I think pilot episode. plus AH shows up on her filmography on IMDB.

This show is kinda dull, I like the Kennex and Dorian banter but it's just ambling along with dreary cases of the week. At least the ep in 3 weeks looks action packed.

Don't you like the NCIS shows Hunter Rider? Those shows are nothing but the same case of the week like every week. And every episode has like the exact same structure.

Kennex and Dorian are basically why I'm even giving this a chance. Their banter is ****ing great

I like LA which has several reoccurring cases and multiple characters that play off each other really well and isn't as heavily tied to a structure like the original NCIS. The problem here is the cases are bland most of the time and outside of the Kennex and Dorian banter there's no reason to care about the characters and none of the support characters are interesting..

I love the setting and production values of this show. Like that it's mid-21st century. All the ideas and potential advances in tech and science are interesting to me.

It's very reminiscent of GiTS: SAC which was a favorite show of mine.

I actually really like Lily Taylor on this show.

Like that their boss is a tough, strong female character.

The Thing about this is like people said Fox has shown all these 7 episodes out of order. Now when they come back in 3 weeks I'm pretty sure they will start being shown in order. This Recent episode seemed more like Episode 2 to me. I hate when fox does hopefully it doesn't hurt this show because I really have took a liking to it.
