Almost Human

I think showing this show out of order was a big mistake and that's the reason for the bad ratings. I could be wrong but I think next week episode was suppose to be Episode 3.

However that being said the recent Episode was pretty good and after next week I think they will start airing Episodes in order so who knows maybe this will get a 2nd season maybe it won't we will have to wait and find out.

I think it's be a massive waste to cancel it. Minus the lack of development of supporting characters, I think it's been great. If next weeks is focusing on Minka Kelly, then that's exactly what is needed.

So I'm right in thinking this was the first mention of the ominous "Wall" right?

I kept trying to remember if they had mentioned it earlier, but I don't think they have. Kinda weird they haven't mentioned it earlier.

Also, this was easily the best episode so far. Gina Carano is coming back though right?

Nah, the Wall has been mentioned before. But, only in passing. This last episode was the first one where they did make it seem important, though.

I agree, showing it out of order has been a mistake. I hope it gets a chance to live on, with some tweaking and shifting around, the show could really be amazing week in and week out. There's some great ways they can hit the comedic notes (I still think Keenex's dialogue at the anger management class was damn funny), with the retrofuture 80's sci-fi vibe that I get from it. And Karl Urban is the ****, so yeah, I'm definitely pulling for the show.

At some point, they're going to have strap a helmet to Kennex and call him Dredd...because The Wall is making it feel a little more like Mega City One.

Oh, and the way Kennex executed that dude a few episodes back. Man, I'd love if they expanded more on that side of him.

Finally watched the latest episode and it's seems like the one last week was an aberration and it's back to boring. I would have liked more of the episode to focus on Kennex being spied on since that's pretty important.

At times I feel like this show is playing it too safe. But then there are moments when it lets loose and I'm sucked back into it.

The episode order is still out of order. Last night's was originally episode 4 even though it's the 10th one to air.

That's crazy, and it's the reason things aren't flowing. My hopes for this show lasting are really low.

Damn, what the hell are they doing??

Killing the show. This is the same thing they did to Firefly. Actually they didn't even scramble Firefly's episodes this bad.

Which is interesting to me, considering a lot of Fox's newer offerings have seemingly allowed the creative teams a fair amount of freedom... so it begs the question, why is this show being treated differently? What's the rationale behind airing things out of order so badly?

I read earlier they did this to build up the "buddy cop" feel of the show and gain an audience from that. Of course in doing so they made the series feel disjointed and uneven which it is, because they didn't properly run them in sequence. It's not serialized per se but it clearly had an arc and intent behind the order of filming.

How come this was episode nr 4 and the spying thing hasn't been mentioned before?

That's just nuts no wonder Sci Fi shows don't survive on Fox Well unless ur the X-Files. They seem to air everything out of order.

Although looking back maybe this recent Episode is why they held off on airing ti because in the last episodes there has been no mention of him being spied on by The Syndicate (My Guess) Through 6 episodes if they aired in the 4th episode. So they put it at the end

The Last 3 Episodes will be run in order so we'll see how the Season 1 Ending plays out.

I just can't see this being good. Things are like all over the place I don't remember what's supposed to be import to the story. Maybe that was a fault of the writing and this signaled all Fox could do to try and save the show...

idk

It being played out of order kinda shows. Kennex and Paul, for example, are already on speaking terms. Him giving Kennex the cold shoulder in this episode seemed off from the previous episodes.

I really liked this episode, though. I thought there was something really interesting about the perpetrator of the case in this episode speaking exactly to what Kennex was going through with his obsession for vengeance, even having a room that looked exactly like Kennex's living room with all the e-notes on the walls. And Kennex getting heat from Internal Affairs, and mention of something bad that went down with Kennex's father. Alot of the things with Kennex were interesting to me here.

I think they touched on some really interesting possibilities for stories with Stahl being a Chrome, too. I know Paul made a crack about it in a previous (or future?) episode, but there seemed to be alot more to it with how they covered Chromes in this episode.

I really hope this show somehow survives. There's some good stuff that can be expanded on here.

I don't even know anymore. I just watch for Kennex and Dorian at this point really. They doomed this show

I find the interaction between Kennex and Dorian to be the brightest spot. The way they present the future on their budget is really well done as well.
But I just can't get into this show, try as I might. It had promise at first, but I don't even think airing the episodes in order would've helped.
Other than the above 2 good things, it's the same cop procedural I've seen a dozen times before. And Detective Valerie? Boring and wooden. They put a hot chick in the show, and called it a day. I haven't seen Minka Kelly in any thing else to my recollection, so I can't say how much of it is her inability.
I would say the stakes for the over arching plot should be higher- what even is the over arching plot? His wife blew up his leg and he forgets things? Dorian remembers things?
Whatever it is, the over arching plot almost never comes up, so almost every episode seems to be 95% filler material, and save a few exceptions often they follow the same formula. Someone dies, so they interview a bunch of people, most being smug or mildly distraught, they barter for some information, find out who's been killing people for revenge, and race the clock before they kill again before stopping them.
The only real over arching villain we seem to have is a few glimpses of Kennex's ex. I think I would prefer a stronger antagonist, maybe one we have some reason to fear. All we have is "huh? why'd she do that?"
So yeah, good pilot, but it's just been circling the drain since. Airing out of order doesn't help, but I barely noticed the difference. If they manage to make it to season 2, hopefully **** will get real.

Where is the logic in this, exactly? What advantage is gained by pulling **** like this?

It doesn't and is why Fox struggles to keep certain shows going. Airing almost the entire season out of order has made the show disjointed, which makes the storylines and characterizations seem so drastically different from episode to episode. It makes me wonder how this show would have done had Fox not made the dumb decision to air things out of order. I really like the characters but the structuring of the season has left me a bit disappointed since the show's premise had so much promise.

Just caught the latest episode. Kennex making up stories about Pohl had me cracking up, especially the reaction from the female cop about sexbots lol.

I really like this show. (probably means it will get cancelled)
Even the Gf caught the last episode (first time) and she enjoyed it.

OK, what's going on? Been seeing posts the show getting canned? :( I like the show
