Am I The Only Person Here.........

I didn't mind Travolta for the most part. As an actor I think he's better as some sort of villain, like in Pulp Fiction. I know there are a lot of people who would have done better than he did though.

I said some things like this in another thread but some folks here are acting like everything about this movie is perfect.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Wow....just like you are acting like everything in this movie is imperfect? (some not even true, where is this verification on the movies budget and Frank living in the sewers with Micro?)

Also you want her to ignore parts of Punisher history because you happen to like Ennis's Max version the most? She has taken material from all sorts of stages in Punisher history, as it should be. Also, she has directed fantastic action sequences in the past, are you saying you will never read a Punisher book written by a female? That is an extremely sexist thing to say about her not being able to handle this movie because the Punisher is a man.

I'm not saying the movie will be one thing or another, all I know is that Punisher is my fav character, I love 99% (minus zombisher) of all of the comics I've seen him in, and I want to see his character done justice as much as the next fan. That said, I LOVED the trailer and am looking forward to this film. Lexi has given me plenty to look forward too IMO.

I'm still on the fence. Some of it looks good some of it looks like ****.

i agree with the above post,

some of the trailer looks a bit dodgy,

but the rest of it looks F##KING great!!!:cwink:

The trailer looks good and I've been hearing good things so I think it'll be.. great.

I really didn't like that shot of Castle spinning upside down like a windmill in the trailer; a bit too flashy for Frank IMO. The trailer doesn't make me want to see this at all.

I find it seems that it is a trend for people with Batman names, avatars, and signatures to dislike the new Punisher movie.

I don't dislike the new Punisher movie, of course, I haven't seen the new Punisher movie. I just didn't like how Stevenson came off in the trailer (kind of a meathead), and I didn't like the spinning gun shot, and I didn't like the excessive neon I saw, and I didn't like how Jiggsaw was under used. It looks like the exact same film as the first, which even though I liked Jane, wasn't a good flick either. A better cut trailer might have resulted in a different opinion, but from that trailer I was not impressed.

Jigsaw's the main bad guy, he won't be under-used in the movie. The teaser seems to be designed just to give you a quick taste of him, rather than a full-on introduction. And Punisher may not be a meathead, but he isn't a refined, aristocratic member of nobility either. He's pretty rough around the edges even before his family gets whacked.

wtf... this film looks NOTHING like the 04 version...

No Travolta, no Florida, more villain, and more punishing. Not the 04 version.

Yeah, the lighting in the '04 movie looked good.

I'm sure Gainer is a good Cinematographer, but I just don't like the choice they went with for this movie. I don't care if they based it off the digital coloring from the comic, I don't think it works.

I am really starting to like the whole lighting thing. It's something kind of new and interesting.

Not really, The Crow II is a pretty yellow looking movie. The only difference with this one is it's got more colors from the rainbow.

I thought the cinematography was one of the worst things about the last Punisher movie. It was like Bryan Singer's take on Superman; it took all of the atmosphere out of the Punisher's world. The only time it felt like a Punisher movie was in the last few minutes, during the predictable "final battle."

This movie looks great... funny thing is when I saw Green Street I thought "man they guy who did this shoots intense fights and would make a sweet Punisher movie" funny thing was the director is now actually doing a Punisher flick. I'm positive that the action in this movie will be violent and brutal and the Actor has nailed the character hands down.

Green Street came in under budget and ahead of time... the director is just efficient. Lionsgate is making this film and are notorious cheapskates so I understand the budget is low. But that is the good thing about Punisher is that he is a gritty character and that is what his film should be... not glossy like a 100million dollar flick.

We had the same problem on the Hulk board for months. It's not older more well recognized posters either, but some of these newer kids who dont even understand simple things like being a BB/TDK fan doesn't mean you can go around the hype like some negativity cheerleader.

Go figure, a film based in NYC having alot of Neon and Fluorescent light in the color pallet!

Better than the last Punisher film using Sunlight and Palm Trees.

this movie looks like its going to be very weak... the trailer looks so dissapointing

yeah, the bright sunny streets for florida made for perfect lighting to suit the punisher. the lighting and cinematography were just like pretty much everything else in 04, plain and boring.

The trailer doesn't make the movie look appealing at all. It makes it look very commercial........kind of like Hitman and Resident Evil. But I will still see this movie regardless cuase I'm a Marvel zombie. I'm just hoping Lexi delivers but I can understand why some people are worried about the movie.

PS-there does seem to be a lot of hate from bat fans. :o
