So TMOB what did you think about Norman in the ish? Did you have the same minor problem I had with it or no?

I think Norman sees Peter as a patsy, much like he sees his son... so he probably couldn't imagine that Peter could be Spider-Man... because he has seen Peter up close, and probably figures that Spidey uses him because it would make sense as to how Peter gets those great shots...

I think it kiiiind of works.

Thing that kind of annoyed me was [BLACKOUT]How Norman brilliantly used the camera to figure out how to exploit a major weakness from the new camera sensor device Spidey built and all of the sudden he figures oh he's just cutting a deal with Spidey, it just felt so...awkward and kind of cheesy to me. Maybe because there wasn't an extra line to justify why he thinks Peter isn't really Spidey. If Peter is working with spidey that means he is aiding a fugitive.....Brilliant use of Norman though overall I must admit to this. [/BLACKOUT]

I had a very busy work week, so I only got to pick up this issue yesterday...

Again, great stuff... nothing in any major reveals, but just good action packed pace, [blackout]and a subtle clue that Menace knew that Norman was once impaled by a glider (who the heck knows THAT besides Norman, Peter & Harry?)[/blackout].

Can't wait for the big Bullseye fight next issue....

There's always the possibility that [blackout]Harry could have disclosed information about his father and his history as the Green Goblin to whoever took up the role of Menace. It would also explain how Menace obtained the Goblin glider and equipment if he was told the location.[/blackout]

Anti Venom seems too powerful, I get he's the clean up crew to stop the symbiote maddness (and I applaud the idea) but this seems like a case of a new guy having the power to have all the powers and that never works out to make a rounded character (sentry I'm looking at your ridiculously stupid ass with that statement).

I don't think Brock as Anti-Venom will go past beyond this arc, or even go back to becoming Venom actually. In an interview with Mark Waid promoting his stint on Amazing, he seemed to imply that Eddie Brock would just be plain Eddie Brock without any symbiote of any kind after all was said and done.

I get the distinct feeling that the antivenom thing is gonna be in his body with it coming out though certian circumstances from time to time. Why? Cause the braintrust isn't dumb, they know the overkill of symbiotes is a bad thing so now they have a one man cleanup crew to make it more sane for future stories. With A-V hunting them from time to time, we'd have less planets of the symbiotes or symbiote bombs, which I think everyone will agree would be a good thing. Slott's put too much work in an almost biblical eddie brock for it not to last or come up again.

So the consensus is still that menance is either harry or lilly, even after that whole family speech? I think slott's too good a writer to have that be the case, just my opinion though.

Exaxtly. I think actually wasting another symbiote would kind of give Anti-Venom some credibility.

that could be cool, but personnaly I think that would mean loosing a "nice" symbiote. I mean I thought that in the "Venom Vs Carnage" and in his own mini-series, they had the basic for a potentially great character (not on the level of all the A-list character, but maybe B-list character)

Either Harry or Lily (who I really feel is Menace) Harry's motives fit. But I honestly think he's just to throw people off, because at the same time Menace's motives seem to directly affect Lily more so than Harry, She called was ok with calling him out and harry didnt really seem to mind about the menace stuff. than he/she just totally lost it when Norman said all he wanted was Spider-man...that the family name and wealth really meant nothing to him. Over all Menace really hasn't done anything....well menacing.

i just got book 1 through 3 today. What caught mee by suprised was brock becoming the anti-venom which is very cool. He was sympathetic to the old man and even spidey for a little untill he starts draining him. Anyway anti-venom looks cool and cannot wait to get book 4 later.
