You fight Iguana in the sewer side missions. You don't even fight Iguana....it wouldn't matter because he would have sucked.

Is it my idea orSmythe was becoming Venom in the after credits scene, and he just killed himself
Shady's reply was to chaster's two cents about the new gameNo, I liked SM2, but I saw some gameplay recently since I hadn't played in like over 5 years, and it looked... boring.
Finished this game after about 6 hours of gameplay. It's a pretty average to mediocre game.
For starters, there are like 20 upgrades I think...which is pathetic. There is literally a non existent leveling system and that presents no challenges for any of the street crime or boss battles. All you do is rush in, punch, rush out and repeat. What's the point of web shooters if you never run out? There is no challenge...this game has zero challenge and zero replayability.
The fighting system is your standard and lame one button masher. Oh look...all I have to do is press x until he becomes dazed and then I can press b. I do like the dodge mechanism and the variety of finishing moves Spidey does. They used Arkham for that and smartly so. I also like the web rush...that was a good/new addition. But, at the end of the day it's the standard button masher that requires ZERO skills as nothing is challenging.
The boss battles SUCK. The only one I enjoyed was Black Cat. She took me a good while to figure out how to defeat her. All of the other villains were punch and punch. Also, the villains were dull and boring. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to make Scorpion a manimal? Who the hell thought it was a good idea to use Vermin and Piranha? You don't even fight Iguana....it wouldn't matter because he would have sucked. I did enjoy the huge snake robot battle and Black Cat...though as mentioned they weren't challenging and Black Cat was the only one to make you figure out how to defeat her. The minor boss battles like the flying spider slayers were enjoyable as well.
Comic book collecting...there is no point in doing this since you can upgrade what little abilities you have to max before the game is over. It's pointless. They only did that to give completionists something to do on a weekend. If the level up system was much more in depth, then yes I would go around hunting comic books.
The web slinging sucks. All you literally have to do is hold down the trigger and it does it for you. It releases the webs and it shoots a new one and away you go. Also...the webs don't even attach to buildings. You can swing around Central Park and above buildings. When you web rush a flying comic book...the webs attach to thin air. There are also really no fun web moves like in the SM2 game. You could use both webs to swing, dangle from light poles, and slingshot yourself. Here, you swing for fun. I also don't like how you can't interact with really anything in the city aside from dumpsters near bad guys. You can't fling cars, you can't punch down a light pole, you can't do anything.
Glitches...damn did anyone have glitches? I fell into the water at Central Park and fell below the map and had to restart. When I took Black Cat into the elevator, the elevator never stopped until I restarted. This game had a few major glitches but that's not a huge issue.
Lastly, the camera system. What a gigantic load of horse ****. Oh it's not framed right, I need to reposition, not to far and not too close, there is something in the shot besides the subject...DIE. Plus, there's no point to taking pictures. The public's views on you don't change and they don't matter.
If you want a good superhero game...Infamous or Arkham Asylum is for you. If you want a good Spidey game, replay SM2.
Not worth $60..
Oh, the voice acting and score suck too. Just a lame game all around.
2/4
For some reason I'm having trouble tracking down the Graffiti in the game. I got the one on the bridge in Central Park no problem, but I can't find the other even though I know exactly where to look. What gives?
Hahaha wow someone has a stick up their butt
How did you come to that conclusion.
He says he doesn't want to live like this anymore, so he activates his own hunters. Then he goes down to his newly activated hunter and dies
Okay I did that and it worked, now how do I unlock the Spider-Man 3 suit? Every website says "To the left of the main Oscorp Building downtown, look under the Gazebo in the narrow park to find the Classic Black costume."
WTF does 'under' mean? I've been at this place forever now!
Is that what happens? I thought his hunter activated accidently because it registered Smythe as a cross species now.

Once you max the 'wall blast' tech upgrade it completely changes the combat system, in a good way. Anyone close enough to a wall becomes stuck to it with just a couple taps of the web-shoot button (O on Playstation), eliminating the need for a finishing move.
A huge flaw however is the lack of a targeting system, making it very hard to select from multiple targets on the screen.
And another flaw is the fact that certain upgrades override previous abilities. Once you unlock the ability to do a stealth takedown to the ceiling, you lose your ability to do a stealth take down to the floor while indoors. This sucks because on occasion I still want to use that ability and not have to jump to the roof.
Similarly once you unlock the throw upgrade to spin an enemy around you, you are no longer able to do the simple throws you could earlier.
Upgrading shouldn't take any of your abilities away.
I also found myself wishing I had the ability to climb straight down a ledge you are standing on, instead you must jump off the ledge and try to fall back into the wall below.
Sprint button might be nice to increase the speed of running and wall crawling.
And something I mentioned earlier was that you could make better use of the roll button. As it is you tap it once while pushing to the side and Spidey does a small roll in that direction. Helpful sometimes but not very impressive for Spider-man. In my opinion a double tap on the roll button should initiate some sort of handspring or cartwheel that moves you roughly twice the distance of the roll. It'd be great for dodging, as well as just mixing up your movements as you run around on the ground.
And this isn't really a problem with the control scheme or gameplay mechanics, but am I the only one that feels like Spidey isn't sparing enough with his webs? I realize it's his thing, but he's constantly firing them unnecessarily at things that are already well within reach. Such as when you jump to a ceiling in webrush, or pull the bars off a sewer entrance less than a meter away. Constantly hearing that squirty sound and seeing countless strands fade away into the air took me out of it a bit.
This video helped me find it:

the one where the guy turned all of the objects black and left a weird message on the wall is a reference to Mr. Negative. Sorry if someone's already pointed this out, but the last time I looked everyone was stumped! The finished article the pictures go to say people have nicknamed him "Mr. Negative", and the homeless shelter/kitchen he robbed (FEAST) is the kitchen run by his alter-ego. I had never heard of the character before, but he was brought in for the Brand New Day story. Thanks, Wikipedia!
