I have played the game like half way through, and I gotta say, it's truly the best Spider-man game up to date! 9/10, really really good game

My only beef with the game is that for something that was made over the span of 2 years, it has around a 5 hour campaign.

Yeah, every game has this now. I think they started with making Web-Rush and gameplay, then the city and other locations, and then missions is probably their last job.

I need help. I have a ? Marked last slot in the tech upgrades. What do I do?

Edit: Its the spider tracers one, what do I have to do to unlock it?

How do I take pictures in this game? It's nerve-wracking. (I honestly haven't had time to do missions. I'm right after the first encounter with the Rhino. That might be it.)

I'm on chapter 9...anyone know how many chapters are left? I'm finding that I actually don't want the game to end, lol.

Well since my game wouldn't unlock the web rush punch I had to restart. I lost my 73% complete and all my comic pages. But, I did unlock the upgrade this time.
That is a horrible glitch, Beenox.

how do you unlock spider tracers upgrade?

No clue. When I beat story mode I had every upgrade available except the web rush punch. I was at level 19 and stuck. If you have already been through story mode and had something like 60% of the game complete, it may have glitched like mine.

Oh my god what the heck! I hope mine hasn't glitched. Do I have to do all the side things maybe like the rooftop snipers....?

All the tracer upgrade does is show you where the mental patients are. I think you unlock it after you have returned enough of them, but I'm not sure.

I know what it does I just want my achievement

Is it a character upgrade or a tech upgrade? I know I unlocked a few tech upgrades through the Oscorp lab things. What percent are you?

Its the last tech upgrade and ive done all the oscorp lab things and got upgrades for every one so it cant be that?

Are you saying you've got all the mental patients?

Ive got 26% mental patients, how do i even start LOOKING for them :(

Finished this game after about 6 hours of gameplay. It's a pretty average to mediocre game.

For starters, there are like 20 upgrades I think...which is pathetic. There is literally a non existent leveling system and that presents no challenges for any of the street crime or boss battles. All you do is rush in, punch, rush out and repeat. What's the point of web shooters if you never run out? There is no challenge...this game has zero challenge and zero replayability.

The fighting system is your standard and lame one button masher. Oh look...all I have to do is press x until he becomes dazed and then I can press b. I do like the dodge mechanism and the variety of finishing moves Spidey does. They used Arkham for that and smartly so. I also like the web rush...that was a good/new addition. But, at the end of the day it's the standard button masher that requires ZERO skills as nothing is challenging.

The boss battles SUCK. The only one I enjoyed was Black Cat. She took me a good while to figure out how to defeat her. All of the other villains were punch and punch. Also, the villains were dull and boring. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to make Scorpion a manimal? Who the hell thought it was a good idea to use Vermin and Piranha? You don't even fight Iguana....it wouldn't matter because he would have sucked. I did enjoy the huge snake robot battle and Black Cat...though as mentioned they weren't challenging and Black Cat was the only one to make you figure out how to defeat her. The minor boss battles like the flying spider slayers were enjoyable as well.

Comic book collecting...there is no point in doing this since you can upgrade what little abilities you have to max before the game is over. It's pointless. They only did that to give completionists something to do on a weekend. If the level up system was much more in depth, then yes I would go around hunting comic books.

The web slinging sucks. All you literally have to do is hold down the trigger and it does it for you. It releases the webs and it shoots a new one and away you go. Also...the webs don't even attach to buildings. You can swing around Central Park and above buildings. When you web rush a flying comic book...the webs attach to thin air. There are also really no fun web moves like in the SM2 game. You could use both webs to swing, dangle from light poles, and slingshot yourself. Here, you swing for fun. I also don't like how you can't interact with really anything in the city aside from dumpsters near bad guys. You can't fling cars, you can't punch down a light pole, you can't do anything.

Glitches...damn did anyone have glitches? I fell into the water at Central Park and fell below the map and had to restart. When I took Black Cat into the elevator, the elevator never stopped until I restarted. This game had a few major glitches but that's not a huge issue.

Lastly, the camera system. What a gigantic load of horse ****. Oh it's not framed right, I need to reposition, not to far and not too close, there is something in the shot besides the subject...DIE. Plus, there's no point to taking pictures. The public's views on you don't change and they don't matter.

If you want a good superhero game...Infamous or Arkham Asylum is for you. If you want a good Spidey game, replay SM2.

Not worth $60..

Oh, the voice acting and score suck too. Just a lame game all around.

The graphics have yes. The mechanics in it however are above and beyond this entry level crap. I am still waiting on a great Spider-Man game. Someone take this away from Activision. Please give it to Rockstar.

Then again I knew this game would crap a year ago. So shame on me for buying it.

Not campaign only games. Multiplayer games yes.

Meh, I love the game.

The camera does make me feel more connected to the character
There are enough upgrades to make SM feel realistic and not comic booky.
The fighting system I think is very cool. Especially with the 360 controller and rumble.
The swinging I think is perfect, the fact that the webs don't attach to buildings lets the swinging seem more cinematic.
Comic book collecting. It's for fun. No one is forcing you to do it?
I only had one glitch when I fell through the map, but I just web swung back up into the map and I was fine.
No point even replying to you bashing on having an in game camera.

No, I liked SM2, but I saw some gameplay recently since I hadn't played in like over 5 years, and it looked... boring.

Campaign is really short. I would've preferred Scorpion and Rhino to be costumed criminals. There were already enough cross species to chase through sewers. In fact a few parts of the story were kind of stupid. Spidey nearly paralyzes Gwen with an untested cure, luckily Smythe saves her from him. Black cat mission and psychiatric hospital were the best levels for me. No robots, no mutants, just Spidey vs thugs. I liked the inclusion of Vermin, being a rat hybrid he's a good candidate for the cause of a viral outbreak.
I played through on superhero the first time and the difficulty seemed okay for me, not too simple. Unfortunately it's not like Activision to do this, but I really hope they keep what works from this game and improve on it for a new title. Those things to me would be:

*Combat System/finishing moves (hanging guys from roof=sick)
*Web Rush
*Perch points/auto balance system
*Back to wall toggle
*Use of 'web shot' in environment (fans, steam pipes)
*Ability to connect people to walls with 'web shot' (How awesome was that?)
*Camera challenges (I liked this, it was the games equivalent of Riddler challenges but suited to spider-man)
*Camera angles (love the close camera while standing, as well as while wall crawling)
*Stealth (Finally a Spidey game that encourages stealth. It works so well for Spidey considering his sticking powers, there's no need for hundred of gargoyles all over the place)
