Really? What the hell is your beef? I'm sick and tired of you guys looking down on Canada and it's people. Please grow up and put a sock in it. Canada and it's people aren't perfect but the hate for them is really unwarranted, are you guys friggin' capable of not disliking anyone that isn't American?

What are some of you trying to prove by being haters and instigators? Do some of you think that you're doing a good deed for others or another?

I actually have no idea why the US makes fun of Canada. I always wondered where that came from/how it started. I don't know anyone who hates on Canada, so perhaps also consider that before you generalize all Americans as haters.

It's all in good fun. Canadians rip on us all the time, too. We rip on each other because we are comfortable enough to be able to laugh at ourselves, not because of some imaginary deep-seated animosity between Americans and Canadians.

Generalize? Here is a hint, maybe if Americans didn't end up saying something negative when it comes to talking about Canada and/or Canadians--then maybe there wouldn't be a need for generalizing all Americans.

But if you don't want to be objective about it, then hey, have at it. Have at assuming that I was actually generalizing Americans. I wasn't actually lumping all of Americans together, some of them know better when they touch on Canada and/or it's citizens.

Regardless, the only area I really see consistent things regarding Canada coming from is South Park, which just pokes fun.

I think the Canada-mocking gets a little OTT sometimes, but I also think it's mostly done jokingly and not worth the effort you're putting into this thread.
