Americans, y u no stop being negative about Canada/Canadians?

Well it works both ways. I, being from Canada, know many people who make jokes about Americans all the time.

Both sides make jokes based off of silly stereotypes, that's all it is.

Meh, Americans make fun of Canadians and Canadians make fun of Americans, it's a two-way street.

Although I can't think of anyone personally that makes fun of US on a regular basis, just people bringing up "experiences" they have had in the states.

I have no problem with anyone making fun of Canada because a lot of time it is based on non-existent stereotype with no truth to them or it's the typical, "oh from Canada, that explains it."

I do see a lot of Hypesters on here who do this, but whatever...

Canada and it's people aren't perfect but the hate for them is really unwarranted, are you guys friggin' capable of not disliking anyone that isn't American?

I can't even understand why Americans wouldn't like Canada, when it boils down to it you could confuse the provinces with extra states, just with better social services.
Geographically we are too close to you not to absorbed a lot of your culture, I'm a city Canadian so sometimes I feel I've got more in common with the American characters I see on t.v. then I do some of the Canadian caricatures from our rural areas.
