An interesting History of You

I'm going to go ahead and bump this thread because I like the idea of it, and I think it died too quickly.

First Found Spider-man Hype right around when the first image of the Spider-man Playstation game was released. I remember finding a link to Spider-man Hype through IGN I believe and there was this tiny video of Spider-man like jumping off of a roof in the game. It was amazing :wow:

I don't remember what event sparked me to sign up, but it was in November 2000. I was here throughout the Spider-man movie hype. Commented endlessly about the first teaser trailer with the twin towers. Talked with people while we begrudgingly watched Temptation Island to see the trailer. Geeked out for days after. Learned about Ultimate Spider-man and anticipated it and posted reviews of each issue

Watched the site grow into what it is today, and most of the people from back then aren't here anymore. There's a lot of fighting and politics on this site today, but back then it was just fun loving Spider-man talk.

I started posting here my last year of Middle school. All through high school and now over halfway through college.

I don't read comics anymore, sadly.

Worked at Petsmart for two years, hated it. Worked as a security guard for one summer, it was boring as hell but paid good.

Met my girlfriend the last year of Highschool, still with her now, we have an awesome apartment and a cat.

Posted silly drawings I did way back when I first came here, am now a junior illustration major. Have no idea what job I'm going to get, but going for it anyway.

I average 2.56 posts a day.

It's been quite a ride.

Hmm...I measure my life in writing projects, emotional connections and awards these days. Because I mostly cannot remember most of the things I do or experience.

2002
-After X-MEN was a success, I joined SHH to talk about rumors of Spider-Man and Batman origin movies
-Single
-Worked at Burger King
-Wrote my first script, THE GAME
-Took a stab at a WATCHMEN screenplay adaption
-Wrote seven episodes of BATMAN: THE SERIES (TV series concept)
-At the time, I wished there would be a Batman musical

2003
-Still in college. Playing the field, so to speak
-Began acting
-Began writing a Batman origin script
-Developed a reputation for having the longest and most argumentative posts here
-Via SHH, befriended someone in Hollywood. Made some contacts, became involved in the rumor mill, started acquiring superhero scripts and dishing out dirt on various projects.
-Did..."something" involving the production of a certain superhero reboot that changed the course of human history. In doing so, pissed off a certain facist superhero website.

2004
-Began dating my current fiancee
-Continued acting, played Walter Mitty and a Drunken Stork, along with a musical cowboy
-Abandoned the rumor mill, too many late nights
-Completed and released BATMAN: GENESIS
-Began work on GREEN LANTERN and THE FLASH scripts
-Wrote CAPTAIN AMERICA script, lost it to computer crash
-Still in college
-Began working with fanfilm director Aaron Schoenke of BITS starting with his project BATMAN: DARK JUSTICE.

2005
-Lived with former elementary school friend and fellow theatre major, became very good friends again
-Began working at an ice cream shop
-Had a kidney stone due to large increase in intake of calcium
-Wrote the fanfilm PATIENT J
-Wrote the fanfilm script BATMAN: FEAR, which I hope gets made at some point.
-Graduated college with a criminology degree
-Began applying to police departments and physically and mentally preparing myself for a career in law enforcement
-Played the gay clock Cogsworth in a professional production of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

2006
-Stopped reading comics
-Lived with two female med students, their six cats and two dogs
-Applied and interviewed with a metropolitan police department. Told I would have a recruit class built around me and a fellow applicee. Final interview went poorly due to job mixup. Took a step back rethought my career choice for a number of reasons
-Originated the role of "The Guard" in the musical called MELANCHOLIA: A MUSICAL MACABRE
-Wrote YOUNG X-MEN and an X4 script
-Jobhunted

2007
-Moved into a new apartment with fiancee
-Continued working at the ice cream shop. Became a part time security guard at a diamond manufacturing plant while I looked for another career
-Wrote THE JUSTICE LEAGUE
-Began work on my novel STARFISH
-Began work on a THE SPECTRE script
-Began serious work on BATMAN: THE MUSICAL
-Was robbed of the role of The Beast in a professional production of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST due to "politics"

2008
-Moved into a newer apartment with fiancee
-Started new job with an evil insurance company. Never boring.
-Still working on BATMAN: THE MUSICAL and STARFISH
-Began work on the independent film THE NEW SOCIETY
-Will be married on 6/7/08, hoping that the sex doesn't stop
-Looking for a decent theatre company in the area, may start one that does darker theatre projects. The director told me that if she's Tim Burton, I'm her "Johnny Depp".

So in conclusion, I'm Johnny Depp now.
