Dear Mr. Burton,

As a longtime fan of your work, with probably the exception of both Planet of the Apes and the recent Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, would you please consider drawing back to your original designs for Batman and continue?

It does not matter if the actors are older, mature, and different. The idea of a sequel is a continuation and there have been several storylines that have taken place even farther than fifteen years down the road.

I want to know what happened to Bruce Wayne following that snowy Christmas night. Where did Selina Kyle go? Where is Harvey Dent?

If you could return and finish your trilogy, so that we have an "official" finalization of your supposive three...it would be great.

Michael Keaton could come back and don the cape after years of hiding, Pfeiffer would still be drop dead gorgeous in leather, and Billy Dee would love the ride. Douriff is still eerie, too.

So, how about going full circle and finishing the series you started.

That way something is finished. I hate watching Returns without ever knowing what would truly have happened.

Burton, you devil you, come back for one last one...

Sincerely,

A Fan Stuck in an Alternate Universe

Yeah, I watched Batman Begins and while I love the movie now...I would still like the original and better old series to be finished. Schumacher can have his two disgusts and Burton can end it the way it should have been.

With age comes respect and that is all the third one would have. Batman Again? Batman Triumphant? Batman...?

Anyone else agree?

Fantastic 4's sequel being good is more likely.

And IMO Batman Begins is way better than Burton's movies.

Seattlespidey... wrong forum, AND you just signed your own death warrent.

while I'd love to see burtons third movie, Begins was better than his 2, easily...and this will never ever happen, even if Burton wanted to do it, the studio wouldnt let him, and I really doubt Burton would even want to work with them again after they basically fired him after Returns

I don't really care about Tim Burton's Batman version but don't get me wrong I love Batman 89 and Returns, is just that I love Nolan's Batman more.

Oh Yeah this should move to Misc Batman Films.

to be completely honest, i would like to see an actual Burton treatment for his 3rd movie. Not an outline, not rumors, an actual Burton written story.

Umm...explanation?

You don't need explanation. Thing is, this is a BB sequels forum. Writing a letter to Mr. Burton go in the "Misc Batman films", since he done the old films that part of it.

Hey now--:thing:

I don't know if you're referring to disliking Fantastic Four, or that you did like it but you don't think there's any possible way of making a good, succesful sequel. But if you're dissing FF1, think again, my friend. Sure I don't take it as seriously as, say, Batman Begins or the Spiderman movies, but FF is refreshing in the fact that it doesn't take itself seriously. It was just good fun, in my opinion. The effects weren't bad, other than Reed's stretching, the CGI on which I thought looked dated. Plus, um, can you say Jessica Alba? :spidey:  <<--She's got Spidey tingling.

Fantastic Four was enjoyable. Its just that simple.

Well aren't you glad they didn't take the plot, storyline character development, dialogue or action seriously either?

Because that might've actually taken some work.

I understand some people liked it, but I was dissing the first one.

I'd love to see Burton do another Batman film, with Keaton playing Batman again, but I doubt it will ever happen. Sorry seattlespidey.

I'm sorry, its fun to be a critic, and its hard when a movie isn't the greatest, but FF is one I've learned to stop worrying about. Michael Chiklis and Chris Evans where quite good in my opinion. Granted, the origin of Doom was screwy, but after debating over Batman Begins, and the Spiderman movies, and criticizing, and sequel casting, and taking them so seriously, Fantastic Four is just cool.

So, in short, you like FF because you don't actually care about FF?

For me it's enough seeing they kept the black rubber suit, the glider-cape and the models for Gotham.

You see, your "explanation" cleared things up...so apparently my stupid ass did need an explanation.
If I could move the thread into the Misc, I would...sorry.

Thanks by the way.
