Action-Adventure Ana de Armas to lead John Wick spin-off 'Ballerina'

What actually happens if someone goes against one of these embargos? Say, someone was to post a negative review of Ballerina before 4th June? Do they just get taken off the 'friend' list and lose out on future 'insider info'?
Yeah, that's pretty much how they operate in that case.

They get black listed by the studio and lose future chances to attend previews, get interviews, press material, etc.

World premiere.

Not that social media reactions have ever been that reliable. But considering the reshoot problems, chances were never great that the movie was that good.

Still going though.

Even some of the more tepid reactions say the film has some insane action sequences.
Exactly, I dont think any Wick film has had a complex story to tell. Heck the events of 1 are still being used as the reasons for things happening in 4.

I'm going to see Ana kick several shades of butt and katana dudes in the face, sounds like thats eactly what we are getting. :like:

There are other things that you gotta nail. Pacing, momentum, tone, etc.

It all depends on how well the movie is executed.

Otherwise you'll quickly lose interest in the action, as well.

True but given the problems in production there's no doubt going to be some issues and this isnt directed by the same guy who has done the other JW films, they had to bring him in to course correct things.

I'm just hoping for a fun blast, not genre defining work at this stage.

One of the problems I have with this series (and it's among my Top 5 favourite film franchises) - is that as the films went on, the less special John Wick seemed.

We have blind John Wick (Caine).
We have female John Wick (Ballerina).
We have tracker John Wick (Tracker).
We have John Wick with dogs (Sofia).

You get the point. Basically, all these people fight the same way John does, mows through fights just like he does, etc.

I'm looking forward to this film - but as the series went on, the more I'm wondering why John was so legendary when there's a lot of people just as capable and like him.
