What does this all mean?

Where is S.H.I.E.L.D headed as the season finale ends in a handful of episodes?

Who is in charge of The World Security Council?.... Stark? Hawkeye?

Are the Avengers involved? Or do we need to look elsewhere within the Marvel U to find out what is going on?

Its S.H.I.E.L.D v. the "real" S.H.I.E.L.D

What does the winner actually take?

Yeah, I hope May kicks Bobbi's ass. I'm not sure who should beat up Mac. He's pretty big. I hope Hunter pretends to be on Mackingbird's side, but betrays them at a crucial moment. Hunter has more of a reason to trust Coulson than that She-devil of an ex-wife.

I would asume that it was one SHIELD at that point. It is pretty much another remnant of that old SHIELD just like Coulson's, both claim the title and responsibility for themselves.

Maybe this is the position he offered hunter, find out what bobbi and mac are at, infiltrate their group. Was a bit to accepting of a presumption about why hunter did not turn up for work with other possibilities threatening his organizations security.

I believe they were fighting HYDRA too. It could be the reason why Whitehall didn't know who was in charge of S.H.I.E.L.D. until Ward joined him.

Bobbi and Coulson were alone in a plane and she lied about Mack and Hunter so I don't think that it's the case.
