The Dark Knight Animated Batman Series

I just want to present this idea but what if someone were to make a Batman animated series not like the ones in the past but something like the Spawn cartoon I don't mean as in gory but just for a older audience more dark and mature like the comics. what are your thoughts? What could they Show?

Excellent idea. Have it on HBO. I'm all for it. They could show partial nudity. maybe a graphicer version of Bruce's parents murder, and villans like the Joker killing people in detail. Also have Batman use some unorthodox interrogation tactics, like breaking a villans arm to get him to talk....

I agree, as a movie the Batman franchise should be mainstreme - but a dark, mature HBO cartoon would work well I think because it takes it out of the mainstreme.

I prefer the idea that surfaced a while ago of a movieverse tie-in comic book. similar to what Superman Returns is doing, only larger. It would just be a series of comic books that take place in between and during the films. We could see Batman take on minor villains that we couldn't expect to see them actually devote a film to. No one wants to watch a 2-hour movie of Batman vs. Firefly, but i'd pay a few bucks for a comic of it.

well in my opinion cartoons are either hentai porn or tom and jerry... and either way its not quote "mature" so y'no, plus i dont have HBO so your idea of a good batman cartoon (TAS excluded) sucks anyway, (/('o')\) yeah, unless your talking about something like clone wars did for star wars, but that'd be immature anyway, so...

They tried to make a female version by making the Character Dr. Octopussy, but that failed when they realized

1. They couldnt get the rights for Bond

2. Women can't be Doctors
