Annihilation

I think the dialogue about his narrating being proof of his survival only applied to the battle where the United Front finally lost the war. It looked like the narration came from his talking into that little datapad thing after the battle. So he could still die before all's said and done. I'm pretty sure he won't, though.

What if the Nega Bands and the Nova Force combined together and that was the power used for the New Nova Corps.
If they did that they could change the name of the Nova Corps to the Green Lantern Corps.

So, what's been going on with Thanos in the mini? I haven't read any comics in over a month and have fallen out of the loop.

He's being evil and manipulative. Same as always. You know Thanos never develops in any way. Gimmicks never do. :oldrazz:

My mother is no such thing. If my mother were a piece of technology, she'd be a phaser and shoot you in the face. :cmad:

Kinky.

Anyone think the wave will hit Earth, puttin and end to the SHRA? It said 3 months before it hit Earth so I'm sure that would get everyone on one accord.

I don't think the Wave will hit Earth, simply because I don't think Annihilation is intended to cross over with any of the mainstream Marvel stuff. Same as Planet Hulk. The thought seems to be that if it's in space, it gets to be separate and contained in its own little bubble.

Though, one wonders what will come of Nova's message to Earth.

Don't they live in another galaxy or something? Maybe they're holding off the Wave over there.

Planet Hulk will eventually tie in with everything that's going on on Earth.

But I agree that Annihilation will have nothing to do with CW.

Gimmick? No. There's simply no need to mess with perfection is all. :oldrazz:

So he's still playing Annihilus then?

What ever came of the two major cosmic entities that escaped the Kiln and have a hard on for killing the Big G? They still around?

And I take it Nova is running the show now? What other cosmic character are in the fight?

Giffen said theyd show up, how awesome would it be to get a splash page of ROM and the Space Knights coming to pwn the Annihilation Wave.

*dreams*

So...was anyone else confused by the explaniation of Cosmic Power?

That'd be cool. Far as I know, it's been a long while since ROM was used.

Still, if the Wave has really big magnets he's ****ed. :oldrazz:

Thanos is still working with Annihilus, but it does seem like he has his own agenda. I'm fairly certain he'll betray Annihilus sometime.

The two major entities, Tenebrous and Aegis, allied themselves with Thanos and Annihilus, defeated Galactus and the Silver Surfer in battle, and turned them over to Thanos.

Nova's leading the United Front's forces with Peter Quill, the ex-Starlord, as his second. Pretty much all of the characters from the minis are fighting for the Front--Drax, Ronan, Gamora, Gamora's Graces, Redshift, Stardust, and Firelord. Praxagora and Phyla-Vell just joined up in #2--Prax to honor Super-Skrull's memory, Phyla to get to Thanos, who kidnapped Moondragon.
Super-Skrull himself just came back to life in #3, but it looks like Drax may or may not have died holding Annihilus' forces back while the others escaped.
Terrax was somehow placed under Annihilus' control, so he's fighting alongside the Wave. The Kree are allied with the United Front, but I think the Skrulls were too scattered after the events of Super-Skrull's mini.

I'm pretty sure Giffen said the Space Knights would show up without ROM. I think Marvel lost the rights to ROM or something.

Not really. It's actually more or less how I always envisioned it working.

And I think he wants to know what became of those two AFTER they put the beat down on Galactus.

Die my ass. The heralds have fared relatively well compared to the rest of the United Front, and Beta Ray Bill's got herald-level powers. He'd pwn up and down on the Wave.

Well, he had Herald level power. After his mini he seemed like he got brought down a bit.

Dear God. Giffen should write every Marvel book.:o

That one page spread of Drax leaping into certain doom was better than all of Civil War so far.

Heralds don't really die though. When Beta Ray Bill ripped apart Stardust? What happened? Stardust just reformed easily. What happened to Beta? He maintained his ass kicked status of beating taken. And if they're using Galactus as a weapon now, and Annihulus just decides to take this guy on, he's gonna die.

Or else the Silver Surfer would've just finished it by now. Or Galactus. Or Stardust, or the combination of the heralds and Nova. O.o

Well, I didn't mean Beta Ray Bill would march headlong into battle against Annihilus himself. At this point it'd be stupid for anyone to do so, except maybe Nova.

I don't remember that. I remember him appearing to be more powerful than he's been since his debut throughout the entire series. After he "died" and got bonded to the human, I don't think we really saw any displays of power, so who knows what level he's at now?
