Annihilation

I don't remember that. I remember him appearing to be more powerful than he's been since his debut throughout the entire series. After he "died" and got bonded to the human, I don't think we really saw any displays of power, so who knows what level he's at now?
This is true, but, if I remember right, they were talking about trying to intigrate him more into mainstream MU. And that's mainly a bunch of street level vigilantes and mutants. Which is why I think that he may have gotten a bit of a power outage with the bonding.
Course this is all just my opinion in the matter since he hasn't been seen since. Until he shows up I'm going with he got a bit of a power decrease.

Actually, in his mini, I thought he was EXTREMELY powerful in comparison to how he was normally portrayed. Planet busting, knock down, drag out fight with a herald who can open up dimensions? Not something I thought him normally capable of.

Exactly. It was almost like Thor himself was fighting. But Beta Ray Bill hasn't really been Thor's equal since about ten issues after Simonson introduced him, despite the fact that he's always listed as Thor's equal. Oeming restored him to his original power.

But Annihilation itself isn't mainstream, so if he shows up there, he'll probably get at least as good a deal as Firelord got. Seriously, Firelord's been the chump of the ex-heralds for decades now, but he's kicked some massive ass in Annihilation.

Agreed. He was actually BETTER than Thor originally, until Thor wisened up, and reformed or whatever. But after that, he kind of seemed...lack luster. But the mini put him RIGHT back where he belonged. At a "cosmic level" power house capable of cracking the armor o' Galactus.

And double agreed about Firelord. He was like the second most powerful herald for a while. And then...he was the ***** of the universe whenever he showed up. I'm glad he's getting the respect he deserves.

Whatever, Simonson misrepresented Thor in that fight. The idea of Thor passing out from the heat of a stupid-ass volcano is ridiculous. The guy flew through the sun before. As great as Simonson's Thor run was, he almost always portrayed Thor as less than impressive.

But that's all beside the point. Yes, the mini made Bill badass again.

Thor pretty much PLAYS in volcano's in some of his more serious fights. It's just as unlikely as Iron Man getting whammied by a computer virus, or an emp, despite the fact he's shown HEAVY defenses to both in the past.

It was horribly written to make Thor look like he wasn't a huge bad ass. Like the SS/Thor fight. By all right SS should have won, but no.

Either way, I loved the Beta love.

Then allow me to say. That Hulk beats Thor, and SS beats Hulk, so SS beats Thor.

Didn't Marvel lose the rights to Rom to hasbro or Mattel? Since that happened, the character hasn't been heard from since. *sigh* damn Hasbro! Those 2 evil Galactus have just disappeared. No mention to where they are or nothing. I can't wait for Thanos's plan to come out cuase you know dude is plotting something up. But then again, dude loves death and the wave is killing and taking names.

You know, Rom was on Robot Chicken recently. Some dude with a magnet kicked his ass. Hilarious.

The last we heard of Rom was in the "Spaceknights" mini. It would be cool if they make a cameo, but it'll never be the same as Rom. I don't know if it was because it was his son that took on the mantle (Rom died) or if it was because the design wasn't all that great, but I felt like I didn't want Rom to be "re-made for the modern age". I can't wait to get Annihilation #3.:(

Hell yeah. ROM couldn't handle that big ass magnet. :D

I thought Thanos finally got over that in his last series. I hope that hasn't been undone. The guy really needs to get more interesting than just "that guy who can kick everyone else's ass." :o

I cant say enough good things about Drax so far. Drax was awesome in the Nova mini and he's been supremely awesome so far in the main series (especially #3).
I got a question though, what's his power level at now? He hasnt really performed any major feats since his rebirth except stabbing the crap out of stuff.
He seems much quicker than he used to be but that might just be me.
Also he still seems to be retaining a fair bit of strength too but I cant tell how much. Any ideas? I know wiki says he's lost some strength but it seems that everything we know about him right now is either speculation or really vague. All we can really tell is that he's a psychopath with two knives.

Either way I love the guy. He's one of the highlights of the series for me (which means he's probably gonna die... dammit)

He was listed as having Level 6 strength (Between 75-100 tons, that puts him on par with the Thing, Colossus, Namor and Iron man) and level 6 level durability (The same as the Things, Thors, Nefaria, Sentry etc). He's lost all his energy manipulation powers, but his intellect has increased substantially. IMO, He's hardly a match for Thanos though ....

P.S. who is ROM, and the Space Knights ? What has happened to Quasar ?

I'm pretty sure those ratings are outdated. That's where he was before his rebirth.

Vanguard: The best I can think of to describe Drax now is basically like a male Gamora. He's not the strongest or most powerful, but he's faster and more agile than before, and probably one of the best fighters around, to boot. Given that Gamora herself nearly killed Thanos a while back, I'm looking forward to how Drax fares.

ROM is owned by Hasbro, but marvel is joined with Hasbro in their new action figure venture, miracles can happen.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Of course, I don't really care about ROM one way or the other.

Man, #3 was awesome. I can never get enough herald-action. I knew squat about Drax before Annihilation but now I need to track down his mini. Good stuff Giffen, keep 'em comin.

I totally flipped when Kl'rt woke up :D

I'm glad the heralds are getting paid their due here, too. I like how the United Front basically treats Redshift, Firelord, and Stardust as their heavy artillery. That's the kind of respect they deserve.
