Annihilation

Still think that's one of the best single panels I've ever seen.

This was absolutely one of my favorite scenes in Annihilation.

This event made me love Ronan, when i didn't care for him before.

Well, now all we need is Annihilus' death and we'll have all the big wins posted.

^Awesome, thanks, i'll have to stay away from this threat while i'm reading the books.

Same here dude. I dropped the book and yelled "Oh Snap!" in stereotypical black people fashion :o:O

I just finished Annihilation, Annihilation Conquest, and Guardians of the Galaxy...
I'm fracking blown away by how good it all was, and I actually was surprised at how awesome Conquest was given that there was a lot of bad word of mouth concerning it.

Conquest wasn't bad, it just wasn't as good as the first one. That isn't a bad thing though...I think it was still a pretty awesome story.

I'm really looking forward to War of Kings.

The bad word concerning Conquest was mainly that it didn't live up to the hype/awesomeness of the first one, which everyone thought it would + surpass it.

That and the whole "Heres Wraith, a character that's only going to be in this event for pretty much one reason and then were never going to hear from or about him again" situation kinda rubbed a buncha people the wrong way.

So along with Nova and Guardians, I've been considering Secret Invasion: Inhumans and the newest issue of She-Hulk with Super Skrull cosmic tie-ins as well. And with the upcoming Vulcann mini it really feels like the cosmic side of marvel is really expanding. Heck, even seeing things like Karolina's people in Runaways makes me wonder what it'd be like if they were explored. Good stuff.

And for the record, I say "Oh Snap" like Derek Zoolander :)

Well, maybe I don't think I've ever said "Oh Snap", but I think it a lot.

I really liked the Wraith's backstory and I'm sure he'll be used in the future... He still wants to find those responsible for the death of his parents.

Even though it be great if quality exponentially increased with every event I don't think it is very realistic in most cases.
Once we have a taste of something great and have already experienced the formula that made it great it becomes almost impossible to be as impressed the second time around.

I read it as its own thing and loved it, the Phalanx concept was great.

I agree. I don't think the characters were as intriguing (for me anyway) but overall I have to say that I was really satisfied with the event in whole.

This I agree with. I loved that Nova returned as the calvary, but I hated that it was Phylla that got to have the killing blow...when it should have been Nova. :cmad:

With the great finishing move he pulled in the original Annihilation, its only fair someone else got to have some fun!
