Guns are part of the world. If we didn't have guns we'd use knives, spears and axes.
Drugs are a bit different as many are just plants used in different ways. Guns we make ourselves.

This is the world we live in now. You can't even go relax and enjoy a movie without fear of getting shot.
Yeah elementary school, churches and movie theaters used to be places where families could feel safe.
Now a few idiots are destroying that feeling of security we had in these communal places.
Yeah, it's impossible, because someone like me, who has access to a full operating machine shop, and a local Home Depot, can easily make my own guns and ammo, regardless if the law wants me to or not. Law wants me to drive no faster than 55 on the highway, but guess what, I don't care, and will go 80!

Dammit, I was just going to post that too!![]()
When are we going to wise up in the U.S and take action about gun laws and mental health? Despite what gun toting folks think, it's WAY to easy for mental unstable people to get their hands on guns. That statement is proven by all these shootings 2012 Colorado shooting, sandy hook, Virginia tech, the shooting in South Carolina, and the list goes on. So we need stricter gun laws like it or not. Also, we need to raise more awareness about mental health and mental illness among people we know or are aware of. How many more times does this need to happen before we actually do something? Schools, movie theaters, churches, malls, military bases, work places have all been hit. The sad thing is what will be the next location for these shootings? SMH
As long as we take care of both issues at the same time. When are we going to wise up in the U.S and take action about gun laws and mental health? Agreed 110%.
There are some weird gun laws out there, no question about it .I'm not going to get involved in an unending debate on gun rights. No matter what is said someone is going to take it and run away with a wildly different interpetation to what I actually said.
Instead I will suggest anyone interested should look up the Cracked.com article on the NRA and how it has nothing to do with gun ownership and everything to do with gun makers pushing some of the most outlandish and irresponsible gun laws in the country.
Problem is too many Americans are too concerned about their "rights" and the 2nd Amendment... which is over a century old. Sorry, but times change, you don't need to have the right to bare arms anymore. This isn't the frontier, this is supposed to be a civilized first world country.
And this whole bollox about a civilian militia? **** off. What good is a few civvies with limited training going to do if the US government does go rogue?
