Finished the script and after watching the trailer and seeing some of the scenes in motion I do have hope. It reads well I just think they could have put more way in character development. But over all pretty decent, better then ang's film in terms of more faith full to the spirit of the comics

Afaik, the Rick Jones name is currently tied up with Captain Marvel and I don't know if Marvel have the rights for him back or not (or if they ever sold them off in the first place for that matter).

Bottom line: I doubt we will see Rick Jones outside of a Captain Marvel movie, if one is ever made.

I was reading that downey jr interview about the cameo and came across an intresting part

"We were just cross-pollinating our superheroes. It happens to be a scene where I basically approach [his character, General Ross], and we may be considering going into some sort of limited partnership together. The great thing is he — and I don't want to give too much away — but he's in disrepair at the time I find him. It was really fun seeing him play this really powerful character who's half in the bag. "

I think this is the part after the big fight at the end when ross is at the bar alone just drinking and looking into the mirror. Hope it's there because that would be a great scene
