Answering script questions: DO NOT OPEN UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPOIL THE WHOLE MOVIE

The Hulk from the TV program wasn't exactly the Hulk from the comics either.

The sad part is that most people consider that more canon to the Hulk than the comics from which he spawned.

I don't know what's worse- that the public holds it as a faithful adaptation, or that it's the only memorable media that people remember regarding the Hulk. The UPN cartoon was so underrated...

Really, I kinda thought that toon was average at best. Especially after they rolled through the first season.

Most underrated toon IMO is the Silver Surfer.

Yeah, I'm in the "once bitten, twice shy" club here too (been more than once I've seen this game played to be honest).
Until I hear confirmation of two things from any revised script - that the Hulk talks with a mind of his own and does not kill - those main points of criticism from draft still stand.

Agreed 100%, i'm not going to let myself get excited by **** or accept changes that dont need to be made,

The difference is fans aren't outraged at anything with The Hulk and this isn't some sort of public annoucement made to the press or during a conference. This was just a comment he said to me. Also I enjoyed X3 and who cares about the outraged fans...they need to get a life. It's a movie. Who gets outraged over a movie...or a script for that matter? Ridiculous. And if fans were sooooooooo outraged at X3 why did they buy a ticket? They could have saved that money for Chucky Cheese or a new Barney DVD.

Do you not also 'need to get a life' since you defend this **** as much as we are dissapointed by it? This just perfectly shows your bias towards Marvel.

No because it doesn't bother me and make me outraged. I have other things to worry about besides a draft of a comic book movie which has no effect on my life. So go ahead and get high blood pressure over nothing. To each his own.

Also it doesn't show my bias towards anything because I enjoyed Batman Begins and Superman Returns quite a bit little one. Oh and I've been supporting Ratner on Escape from NY since he's been signed. Is that a Marvel film? Same with Gears of War? Is that a Marvel film? Howabout Green Lantern? Is Rambo a Marvel film? Howabout 1408??? 300? Shooter? Pan's Labyrinth? Superbad? And the hundreds of other films I'd defend if someone were to say they're trash.

Your idiotic broken record statements about me are getting older than dirt. We're in a forum for a Marvel movie by the way so ummm we're not talking about DC or anything else.

I think AVE and WOB are in cahoots with eachother AD, Its like the prez and the first lady, lol. Its a UK thing. Any heroes in Liverpool? No, not the Beatles, lmao. BTW, dont take offense, its a joke!!! All in good fun.:woot: :woot: :woot:

P.S. Life is too short to blow a gasket on a movie. Get lives for pete's sake.

Y'know, we could say the same thing about 'cahoots' when you and AD and Bannerless Hulk go patting each other on the back :cwink::woot:

And no offence taken on the UK comment, not least as we all know that isn't true - Liverpool has Steven Gerrard goddamit!! (and if you don't follow real football you wont get that joke):woot::cwink:

Btw- in spite of AD posting a direct link to a post of mine in regards to 'outrage', I have never said 'I' was outraged or blowing a gasket about anything (unless you count being of a 'glass half empty' state of mind as outrage?)
For me, if the film does keep the changes that have been criticised, I won't be having a fit over it. But I will be disappointed and annoyed.

I do sometimes wonder if Steven Gerrard has superpowers.

I appreciate people want their perfect version on screen, we've all got different ideas but all I personally want from the film is to come out of the cinema having enjoyed the movie. Don't place too much importance on what you view as imperfections.

I know you weren't referring to yourself. I was just referencing your comment.

Umm, I know the answer is probably no, but can someone who has the script pm a link to me? I'm interested in reading it, even if it's far from the final draft. In fact, I prefer to only read an early draft of it. Don't want the whole thing spoiled for me, but I want a good idea of what to expect.

^ If you read the script the whole thing will be spoiled. LOL That's why I won't read it.

Yeah, the whole film will be spoiled if you read the script, even at that stage.

It's a tough job always being right, but some of us have to do it. I would be happy to make you an honorary member of the club, since you've done pretty well to oppose our views. We could make you Hulk Expert Emeritus or something of that sort. Join us wobbly, join us!!! :whatever: :cwink:

I'm a rugby man myself Wobbly as I dont really care for soccer (football). I like my violence on the field, not in the stands, lol. On the movie front, I understand everyone's frustration. I myself, would've made a movie to please everyone. Some dialogue, not much, but some for the Hulk. I would have had Abomb keeping his intellect and bashing the Hulk with words further making him even more angry, lol. A couple of well placed "Hulk lines". No views of the Hulk "killing anyone", intentional or not. Some humor by Banner making fun of himself being big and green. I would have the Hulk level buildings to defeat Abomb and then hit em with "Hulk is the strongest one there is!" qoute before he defeats him. What do you think?:woot:

It's like freaking Armageddon here in SoCal it's raining ash everywhere. Arnold and Bush are in town too. Uh oh.

Great point. I generally want to be entertained. TF did that for me. I had fun watchin it. I want the same experience watchin the Hulk.

The one thing that bugged me about TF was that in the huge action sequences everyone pretty much was left unscratched. When the main actor Shia or whatever his name is get's smacked hard by one of the Trasnformers and thrown into a car...uh nothing happend to him. Hell you'd break some bones there. Also when they were battling in the city in most cases the worst thing you'd see is someone fall down and get up. Hell half the time when the tranformers slammed into the ground they didn't even crack the concrete. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the movie but a little more realism would have made it way better. I know it would be hard to sell to kids if innocent people were killed in battle but that's what happens.

Overall it was really good. We'll always find something (bloopers and all).

Yeah I bought the DVD and watched it again 2 days ago. It was a solid film...definately sanitized for kids though. My 6 year girl didn't even flinch watching any of the scenes.

Lost Boys came to my mind before Star Wars. "How can a billion Chinese people be wrong Michael?"

Hey CJ, I agree that the movie was made possible by the fans, but to what length does a writer, director, etc. go to please the fan?

Has anyone stopped to think that if Norton did a rewrite, how much was his and how much is Penn's? It could've been Penn having Hulk kill and not Norton. Maybe that is one element that is being tweaked as well as his dialogue. Just a thought.

Sorry EB I blew right over this. I also forgot our conversation.

Worry not true believers. All is well. :woot:

lol You guys are great. Young Wobblywalker, a billion Chinese people, and So Cal weather throw into the mix for good measure... where else can I get all of this in a span of, what, 30 minutes? SHH! is a bargain. It's pretty dismal here in Ohio, if anyone cares. Was sunny earlier though.
