I hope (no pun) we get a two track story. One about today where we see Hope and Scott dealing with Ghost and what have you, and another being about the adventures of Hank and Janet in the past. I think that would make for an interesting super hero film.

I hope the helmet looks closer to Ant-Man than Civil War. The original suit's not-so-shiny-not-so-perfect look worked.

That would be very interesting but do you think there's much chance of it?

I don't think we will get that. It sounds like we will get a couple eighties flashback scenes with Hank & Jan like we got in the first Ant-Man movie.

Peyton Reed has said he would be down for a Hank & Jan prequel in the past. I doubt it is a possibility though.

I am trying to create an accurate Marvel Cinematic Universe power Tier list, and thought the best way to get standings would be to get a general consensus, and the best way to do this is to create vs. matches, allow the hype forum a week to debate and vote and then use these results to place them on the tier list. I know this process will take a while, but it seems to me like it would make it the most accurate possible and be a lot of fun to be involved with. So, if you want to vote on the first battle or get into a debate on why you think a specific character should win leave a comment and who knows you might influnce others. Please keep in mind though these are the MCU versions and not their comic book versions I am asking you to vote for. Also, please don't select a character to win just because you might like them more if you feel they would lose.

Sorry to interrupt the this thread, but just want to spread the word so I get a good amount of people participating hopefully. Link below.

I don't know. I think it would be a unique MCU entry if it did that. The past history stuff doesn't even have to be half the film in my view, just a good enough portion to be more than simply flashbacks per se.

In any case the past is going to have an effect on Hope for sure in some way so why not have it be fleshed out is my thinking. Whatever they do I am sure it will be interesting and entertaining. There's a lot of potential in this movie to build on what we got in ANT-MAN.

I'd definitely be up for it if they chose to go that route. I think this film could be a fair bit better than its predecessor and having Pfeiffer in there as Janet throws open a whole load of possibilities.

You know, those costumes look like they could be modern badass Power Ranger outfits. And I'm ok with that.

Are those the helmets in the back?

Looks that way.

There is also a set picture of Hank Pym
wearing FBI gear which probably means he goes undercover again during some scheme the gang cooks up

Some possible plot details.

According to the report, Ant-Man and the Wasp will give a big nod to the events of Captain America: Civil War at first. With Scott Lang having escaped the Raft with Steve Rogers’ help, the sequel will find the hero under house arrest when it starts. The blemish doesn’t seem to bother Scott all too much as it lets him spend more time with his daughter, Cassie. And, in light of his debatable treason, the hero is said to be a bit weary to suit up as Ant-Man again. Like Hawkeye did before him, Scott appears to have left the world of superheroes behind and forget about Ant-Man.

On the flip-side, Hank Pym and Hope van Dyne are still hard at work in their lab. The father-daughter duo are working with the Quantum Realm to see if they can bring Janet back to their world. The pair aren’t said to be happy about Scott’s decision to join Team Cap when they needed his help, and they could still use it. Hank and Hope are said to be hunted throughout the movie, so they keep their lab on-the-go with some help from Hank’s Pym Particles.

Cool.

It would be a nice nod to the comics if
the shrunken laboratory was a version of Pym's Hornet's Nest from the comics

Didn't Michael Douglas say during press for the first film that he's now playing a character that his son can watch?

There should be some ramifications to CW for Scott. If true they aren't letting that slide.

If would be cool if the new Ant-Van is tricked out with gadgets and stuff.

Yeah.

He pretty much took the role because of his youngest son is a Marvel fan.

He did, but I think during press interviews you could see he admired the work and effort that goes into these big films. I think he had a good experience in a type of movie he never made before. At least that's what I always got while listening to him in several interviews.
I always liked his thrillers from 80's/90's so I'm really happy to see him again in the MCU.
